I can tell you.
A small electrical current will stop the itching. This is the basis of the peizo electirc mosquitoe itch stoppers you can purchase in drug stores world wide. It really does work.
Also you can rub various oils on your skin that will help stop the itching. I'll have to look these up when I get back home tonight as I have them written down.
-- Coco Butter, Peppermint oil, Oil of Oregano (if you can find it), and Oil of Lavender are all supposed to help. I can vouch for the first three working for me, they all for my wife, but men shouldn't use Oil of Lavender as it can cause growth of breast tissue in men. --
-- Lemon balm, Rosemary, basil, rose geranium and catnip oil also repell mosquitoes. Indeed, researchers at Iowa State University found the essential oil in catnip to be about 10 times more effective at repelling mosquitoes than DEET --
Calamine lotion also will do the same.
To stop attracting them, stop breathing. Mosquitoes are attracted to the CO2 in your breath and by the smell of your feet, which is why you get so many bites around you ankles.
Best to have a mozzie net if they are really bad.
Women and people with O type blood attract more mozzies than Men and people with other type blood. Don't know if the RH factor makes a difference.
There are various repellants that do work. Castor oil plants excude an odour that repells them, as do other plants, but you have to be careful in touching these as they can cause hypersensitivity to sunlight or rashes.
hope that helps.

If you live somewhere that's really humid and/or swampy then good luck to you sir. One thing i use to stop the itching of a mosquito bite is a burn treatment; I'll strike a match and blow it out or a lighter and let that get hot and touch the hot end of whatever to the bite....It burns for less than half a second but the itch goes away fast.

Buy a mosquito net to keep them away at night. As far as getting them to stop itching... i think the only option is to scratch them till they bleed.. Or maybe try applying a washcloth soaked in milk.

Hi
You can get a mosquito repellent spray that you apply to your body or you can buy a mosquito net that you drape over your bed and it has holes in it (too small for the mosquito's to get in)

stop itching with various ointments such as chamomile, menthols, but the best is apply your own saliva on it. Cover up to avoid bites.
