I have no idea how the system works. At one time I was a top contributor, but not anymore.

Heck, I saw a Level 2 Top Contributor this morning.
It apparently doesn't take much.

I have no idea what the requirements are for top contributor. Mine randomly showed up one day with no explanation. My guess is that there is a measurement of how much activity you have in an area.

Guess he doesn't have much of a life. Can you imagine the time necessary to do all that contributing??
Maybe he's one of those 30-year-olds who still lives at home, spends all day in front of the computer, and has learned how to tune out Mom's constant nagging....

Top contributer has nothing to do with how many best answers you have, but how many times you press the submit button to answer questions...
As I understand it.

It means you are concentrating on one topic, not that you are at a high level.
