How do you personally tell the difference between an event that is coincidental, and one that is God-incidental? In other words, what drives you to personally conclude whether a particular event was influenced by the hand of God, or whether it was simply an act of pure random chance?
Where do you draw the line between coincidence and "God-incidence"?

Well, as Atheists, we believe only in coinsidence, no such thing as God - incidental in our books.

I would say that any event that changed your life in profound way is an event that was nudged by God.
For instance: You are walking down the street, a street you always walk down. On this street, is a homeless man, the same homeless man that has been there for weeks and weeks. For some reason, on this particular day, you notice this man and go to talk to him. While you are talking to him, you feel a pricking of your conscience and offer to buy him lunch. During this lunch, you realize that there are other people out there who need help, and you work on starting a charity or started working with a charity that feeds the poor and homeless.
In my mind, that is the creator opening your eyes to another's suffering, and guiding you toward a path of community service.

Whereas, getting a flat tire going down the freeway is simply a random event.

I think it depends on the person and what they believe. If you are of a religion that believes that your God controls everything, you wouldn't think anything happened just by chance. If you don't believe in God, then everything is happends by chance and not by the hand of God. Its all about perception.

First: Nothing is coincidence
Secondly: I communicate with the Lord and
what he tells me is always on target - though
I don't know all the questions to ask and don't
know everything, there is an extent to
which it is definitely not coincidental what
He tells me both in scriptures and in heart!

well, for example
the doctor sends you home because the cancer has spread and there is nothing they can do anymore. at home you pray and family, friends and church fast and pray for you. few weeks later you go in for a check up and find out that there is no more cancer. that in god-incidence
god bless

As a devout christian, I can feel in my heart when its god, because its usually after I've prayed about something and it comes true, that's when I know it is from god.

There are no coincidences....

Nothing happens outside of God's perfect knowledge & wisdom. He is sovereign.

He is in control of it all.........
