since they continually state over and over that God is a fairy tale. Surely they wouldn't be making a statement like that without proof, right? They clearly wouldn't engage in the hypocrisy they accuse us Christians of, would they?

I don't understand the fight over religion and people's beliefs. It is up to yourself what you believe. You should study and pray to figure out what you believe to be true. I don't understand why people feel like they need to down someone because of there beliefs. What is so wrong with living your life with the knowledge that there is a higher power that created you and loved you so much he gave his only son that one day you could enter the gates of Heaven. Please tell me why people who don't believe feel like they need to try to make those of us who do belive feel like we are wrong. I know what I have felt and I know what God has done for me and I am thankful for it. If you have never felt his power or been a recipient of his glory I am sorry for you. That doesn't give you the right to down those of us who have. You believe whatever you want but I believe you need to keep the negative to yourself and quit answering questions just to down someone.

I don't know whether to become a christian and get confirmed because I don't believe fully that there is a bearded man looking down on us. I believe in living life to the full and there might be God but I don't want to say that is the only explanation because there could be many different answers.

Hello-I would like to share my struggle and get some feedback. I believe that a few Christian ministers had taught me biblical principles in the past that helped me overcome a lot of turmoil in my life. I overcame them with the help of "Jesus", then went my own way. Things became bad again, and now I have tried to recommit my life to Jesus and the way of the Bible, but I am having a hard time giving myself and my life completely to Jesus. The women in my Bible study that I started say it's Satan telling me lies. I wonder if the victories in my life are truly from God (Jesus) or are there other ways of living and believing? Anyone else ever have the same experience?

Back in the past of hundreds of years ago, someone noticed that pigs had cloven hooves. Somewhere in their teachings, and without positive proof because it was all in the mind, they invented the devil and gave him cloven hooves.
They put two and two together and said that pigs are unclean animals. `Unclean` in the way of not being pure I expect.
Can this be true?
