No.... pigs are said to be unclean because they are scavengers....they eat unclean food in the wild ... they pick up disease ..
Until recently, we did not have either the guardianship over the way our meat is raised & sent to the consumer's table, or the stoves / ovens that heat to such a degree as to zap out any parasites which are the problem with pork if not raised under clean conditions...
Your question takes quite a Cook's Tour of problems !
Take it easy
have a good day

In answer to your first question, because people believe them to be true, and some, like the Bible, are at least partly backed up by independant sources.
The pig being unclean (Leviticus 11:7) came long before the devil or Satan (Job 1:6, earliest reference I could find) was even mentioned in the Bible. The depiction of the devil as having cloven hooves is not actually found in the Bible as far as I'm aware. Since Satan, (formerly known as Lucifer) is described as a "fallen angel" wouldn't he look like an angel?

What you have to realize is that in those days pigs were not if you like farmed, pigs were all wild.
Pigs would eat anything that they could find to eat, therefore a body would be on the menu if that body was not buried in a shallow grave, taking into account that pigs root, that wouldn't be a problem.
That is the reason for that belief, nothing to do with the devil.

Pigs were described as "unclean" because unless pork is prepared and cooked properly, those who eat it can get very sick and even die. It was safer to simply stay away from it completely.
And Satan doesn't have cloven feet. Just as angels do not actually have wings or halos. They look just as you and I do. Renaissance painters had to come up with imagery to show that angels were different from regular men and that the Devil was evil and scary.

Better try to get a handle on what Leviticus was really about. It is what the Israelites needed to sustain them at the time. Very few, if any Christians follow Leviticus today. In fact many Jews don't follow it completely. Islam actually follows Leviticus as much as the Jews.

what's the right age of a philosophy at which it would be disposed? thinking the undeniable fact that the foundational writings of Atheism are approximately six hundred years older than those of Christianity, does that make Atheism a miles less clever concept than Christianity? thinking the undeniable fact that Mormonism is barely approximately a hundred years previous and Scientology is barely approximately 50 years previous -- are those the main clever and particular of the philosophies regarding the character of the divine?? seems to me, your logic dictates that we could constantly all replace into Scientologists.

I hope someone burned the ramblings of the Zodiac killer. In 2000 years, they might sound like scripture.

Believing thousand year old stories and having someone else tell you how to live and what to think is easier than getting a high quality education and sorting it all out for yourself.
