Pagans go to Summerlands
And we find out it's the exact same place
will anyone be offended?

Well, I believe that summerland is just a rest stop between lifetimes so, NO, I wouldn't mind sharing the same place with Christians or anyone ELSE for that matter. ALL are welcome in the land of rest and recovery.

THey probably wouldn't interact that much. From what I understand of the bible, heaven is a great city with streets of gold and gates of pearl. Summerland is a place of natural wonder and eternal youth. I'm thinking the Christians live in the city, and the Pagans get to live outside. I guess they'd interact when the Christians want to go for a nature walk or the Pagans need to do some shopping

I will be happy to share the Summerlands with any and all and have never understood why some feel the afterlife is for them alone. They seem to believe it is more special if it is only for a select chosen few. Whenever I picture their idea of the afterlife all I can see is one of those snobby clubs where some big guy stands at the door and points to people, "you, not you, you and you, but not you". I've never tried to get into one of those clubs because I wouldn't want to go to one and I wouldn't want to be a part of an afterlife that's some exclusionist, we're better than you are snob fest.
I look forward to seeing you one day in the Summerlands Sister.
Blessings.

It would make interesting debates and I think the Pagans would be pointing and laughing a lot....
The summerlands doesn't apply to all pagan though. Heathens have Valhalla and Celts have a pot of something that I can't remember. Greeks have Hades. Most believe in reincarnation...it's complicated lol

moondown, have you noticed how much alike we look??? We must be sisters!
I was thinking of this heaven and summerlands thing walking my dog yesterday, thinking of how nice this summer has been, and how summerlands sounds so nice, but (no offense to my Wiccan friends) they both sound sort of made up efforts to avoid non-existence.
It would be nice to have summer forever though...
but wishing isn't getting.

I'm going to hole in the ground. If I'm lucky a tree will grow out of me. I hate to break it to you, but thats about all anyone's got coming. God is just about on the level as Harry Potter is, nothing but a fairy tale.

No, I'm a Pagan, and I'm going to be worm food. I don't need a fairy tale or a "higher purpose." But thanks! (BTW, it's Wiccans who are into the Summerlands. Not Pagans.)

When Vikings die, they go to Valhalla. You still fight your enemies in Valhalla. So my guess is Heaven still gets raided now and again.
