Both claim to believe in the "One True God."

Both claim that God has inspired their Holy Book.

When flaws are found in that book, they claim that it is meant to be taken metaphorically, or a misreading, or taken out of context.

Both claim the "extremists" are not really of their faith.

Just wondering if you see the similarities?

When that person asks for forgiveness, and repenting of their sins, are they asking God the Father, or Jesus, or the Holy Spirit? I'm confused.
Also, do we always reference our prayers in Jesus' name, can we directly ask the Holy Spirit for help instead of God the Father or Jesus? What's biblical?

k! let me start with saying that i do believe in god. i believe in jesus and that he is my saviour. i believe what I understand the bible to say and i do my best to obey it. i guess by that you would all consider me a christian, but i dont claim any religion. what i don't uderstand is why everyone (especially on here) is always argueing about chirstianity, athism, and any and every other religion. which one is better? which one is right? and today the topic seems to be who killed more people? im really trying not to make this an attack on anyone , but athiest, why can't you just agree to disagree? christians, i understand what you are trying to do and why, but arguing with and attacking someones beliefs is going to get you nowhere, and feel free to correct me if i'm wrong but doesnt god say not to judge? last i checked that is his job and his alone.....

Couple of questions directed towards muslims, but any other religious person is able to respond as well.

• What can we do to prove to others that ( ALLAH Glorified in Might ) does exist? How can we be used as tools by ALLAH SWT for them to see the light?

• How can we be setting an example for them, instead of them thinking we're strange or wierd?

• Should we use steadfast of prayer and or debates as a mean to show them Islam and the beliefs?

Thanks for everyone who answered, and Salam Aalaikum ( Peace be upon ) all the Muslims and guidance to non- Muslims. Ameen.

* Thanks for the input I appreciate it*

1. The teacher has a clear anti-Catholic bias, being an agnostic, and preaches that all religions are false creations of man.

2. The teacher allows certain groups of students to cuss and swear.

3. The teacher makes the principal look like a fool constantly telling the students that he(the principal) doesn't know what he is doing?

4. The teacher allows certain students to watch Monty Pithons "Every Sperm is Sacred" and another video mocking Jesus hanging from the cross.

5. The teacher has the students do a writing assignment about the principal that must be written negatively. He actually told a student that if he wrote positive thinkgs, he would fail.

I don't give a hair if you don't believe this is a real situation. I have seen and heard it with my own eyes and I am not telling the name of the teacher, the school, or the students.
But what would you do if your child came home and told you these things were happening in class? Would you even believe him or her?

It Was Only a Quarter!

After he arrived, he would ride the bus to visit nursing home. He discovered the driver gave him a quarter too much change. Considering what to do, he thought, "I'd better give it back. It would be wrong to keep it."Then he thought, "Oh, it's only a quarter. Who would worry about a quarter? the bus company does fine; they'll never miss it, accept it as a 'gift from God' and keep it."

When his stop came, he paused at the door, handed the quarter to the driver and said, "Here, you gave me too much change." The driver, with a smile, replied, "Aren't you the new preacher in town? I've been thinking about going somewhere to worship. I just wanted to see what you would do if I gave you too much change. I'll see you at church on Sunday." When the preacher stepped off of the bus, he literally grabbed the nearest light pole, and said, "Oh God, I almost sold your Son for a quarter."
Our lives are the only Bible some people will ever read." Remember this R&S :)

I've seen a lot of comments in here stating that certain symbols (ankh, pentacle etc.) are against god. On the other hand, the cross has been adopted to represent the god of Abraham. If any symbol would be displeasing to the Abrahamic god or to Yeshua, it would make sense that it would be a cross, since that is what Yeshua was suppose to have been crucified on. Enlighten me as to how this silliness came about. Most of these symbols are far older than the various beliefs that use them, so what is it that makes them good or bad?

It looks like the common belief is incorrect. Numbers 13;32 surely states that the "sons of god can swim".
