He exists because Christ is Risen. If He didn't rise from the dead, why didn't the Jews parade His body through the streets for all to see? If He didn't rise from the dead, why didn't His Apostles and many of His 72 disciples accept death rather than deny Him? It is because He is God and exists.

That numbering convention was based on the calculations of Dionysius Exiguus, a clever monk who used the historical tools of his day to figure out just how long ago Jesus was supposedly born. Before that, years were based on the reign of the current king or emperor, or for more consistent numbering, the legendary date of the founding of Rome. The pope decided it might be nice to use a more Christian index and set Dionysius on the task. (Actually, it was a side project from determining a reliable formula for setting the date of Easter.) He determined that Jesus was born at the end of 752 AUC, making 753 the first year of Christendom, and therefore, the year 1. So technically, there was no 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th or 5th Centuries because the numbering convention hadn't been invented yet. So 525 was the first "Christian" year.
Well, his results were actually off by a few years, because there wasn't any historical documentation for the birth of Jesus outside of the gospels, which are contradictory, but by the time they realized it, everyone had already switched and it wasn't worth the correction.

What makes you think He didn't exist? There's a mountain of evidence to prove that He did. 2007 A.D. is a man made calender. More research is needed here my friend.

Actually, it's 2007 C.E.
Religious nutcakes tried to take over the calendar, but they got it wrong - even their own scholars admit that if JC existed, he was born somewhere between 7 and 4 B.C.E. - in other words, born before he was born using the old BC/AD system.
BTW, C. E. stands for Common Era, though some wags refer to it as the Common Error.

On what do you base your premise Jesus did not exist? Explore calendars, there are many. Had to start counting somewhere!

People did try to move to a more politically correct version by saying C.E. (Common Era) but this idea met with harsh resistance and criticism. Some scholars still stick to it today.
I will ring your doorbell and run away!!!

Because when he did exist, we adhere to the message he left which is No one gets to the fathter but by me, I am the way the truth and the life (everlasting life) he came to offer the kingdom of God etc... and save us from eternal damnation etc.. because we are all sinners and he is the only way to heaven. We also try to live a life that walks parallell to his as much as possible, although we all get off that track, we try... it's a good life being thankful and living for Christ. It is! No matter how long ago it was....

Actually, BC doesn't mean before christ. If christ did exist (which he diddn't) He would have been born sometime between 6 and 10 AD
