Couple of questions directed towards muslims, but any other religious person is able to respond as well.

• What can we do to prove to others that ( ALLAH Glorified in Might ) does exist? How can we be used as tools by ALLAH SWT for them to see the light?

• How can we be setting an example for them, instead of them thinking we're strange or wierd?

• Should we use steadfast of prayer and or debates as a mean to show them Islam and the beliefs?

Thanks for everyone who answered, and Salam Aalaikum ( Peace be upon ) all the Muslims and guidance to non- Muslims. Ameen.

* Thanks for the input I appreciate it*

There are natural occurences that prove that Allah exists. You can see them on the internet. For example, the Arabic writing for "Allah" has been found in many natural areas, and it is very clear. It has been found in seeds, in the clouds, trees formed in the shape of it, bees made it in their beehive, on a lamb, on a fish, and more. These were miracles that prove Allah's existence. Here's a website with a lot (but still not all) of them:

We can educate people and hopefully eradicate their ignorance towards Islam. The media and other unreliable sources have gotten to the masses, and they are getting all the wrong ideas about Islam. Many of the accusations made about Muslims are absurd, and they are either made up or misleading, and definitely misinterpretted. Many Muslims here on Yahoo! Answers are trying their best to redirect people's thoughts on Islam and are replacing their false thoughts about Islam with the truth. However, many still remain hateful toward Islam and choose not to understand, even though they know they have the option to do so.

As Muslims, we should point out misconceptions about Islam, and explain the truth to skeptics. There are way too many misconceptions about Islam right now based on ignorance. Inshallah we are able to educate those whose minds and hearts are still open.

Thanks for the question. I starred it so hopefully my contacts will contribute to this as well. Good luck!

As salaamu 'alaikym warahmatullahi wabaraktu, my friend.

As God can not be quantified, measured, examined under a microscope and/or tested in a "lab", and, as God (YHWH, Trinity-Father, Allah subhanna wa Ta'ala) is not a created being made physically manifest by such a creation, it is unlikely that anyone will eer be able to difintively prove the existance of God.

Either God will make Himself manifest within the hearts of the believeres, or He will speak to each created person in such a manner as not interfere with his or her free will while also making it apparent to each that He does exist and is seeking a relationship with His creation.

Although God making HImself known to all of His creation would seem the best possible way to prove His existance, historically, god has not chosen such a path since the Holy qur'an was revealed to the Last Prophet, Mohammad, peace be upon him, his fmaily and his followers.

For more than a millennium, God as remained silent and passive as horrible deeds have been done in His name, supposedly by His devoted followers (and often to His devoted followers). Such makes it difficult for a non-believer to feel a closeness to God and even makes one doubt His existance.

Perhaps one of the more effective ways to set an example for unbelievers to see and appreciate might be for the Muslims to build a truly strong community based on the teachings in the Holy Qur'an and in the Sunna Hadiths.

Seeing Muslims effectively, compassionately and lovingly taking care of their elderly, infirmed, disabled and impoverished brothers and sisters, as well as taking care of and well educating their children and, when able, reaching out to do the same to all members of society and not just Muslims would set such a shining example that surly, even non-believers would have to take notice and approve of the same.

If possible, expand the concept of Muslim banking showing that usury need not be tolerated nor endured and that commerce can be conducted without the same.

Establishing community centers for both Muslims and non-Muslims, especially for the youth of the area.

Demonstrating the strenght of Muslim family structure in daily life, especially in this country where the divorce rate is so high and single parent families seem to now be the norm, rather than the exception, would also set a fine example.

Education, as in polite discussions, exchanging ideas, etc., is always welcome as a means of letting other get to know you and for Muslims to have the cahnce to get to know the non-Muslims in thier area.

Of course, as Muslims are part of a religious community, based on their beautiful faith and the practice of the same, prayer would be essential.

Preaching by being a living example is always best.

Ma'a salaam, my friend and brother, from you Buddhist brother.

In the Name of Allah, Most Compassionate and Merciful

As-salamu 'alaykum.

Insha-Allah this reaches you in the best of 'afiya and iman.

The answers to these questions have been touched on a number of times in some of my previous answers. Insha-Allah, I'll post the following which was an answer regarding convincing someone of the existence of God. (The questioner was asking from more of a science-based background, but the answer is basically the same.) Beyond this, I advise you to make dua', stay away from debates, and be an example of the good character that the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) came to perfect (i.e. always be part of the solution, not the problem and serve others). With regard to what I've mentioned below, keep in mind that the idea is to show someone that it's not in principle irrational or illogical to believe. And Allah Alone gives success...

Alhamdulillah, Who sent to us a book which He Himself describes as a "detailed explanation of everything."

There was once a Muslim theologian who declared that he had found 100 proofs for the existence of God. An old Muslim woman who heard him replied, "If you didn't have a hundred doubts, you wouldn't need a hundred proofs!" In reality, iman is based on moral responsibility. The existence of God does not rest on the scientific proofs or some theory from a Catholic saint or the discourses of the discursive theologians. People who are looking for proofs for the existence of God are confused to begin with. If it could be proved, there wouldn't be a single kafir left on the face of the earth. But, instead, this world is a test.

People don't accept the existence of God because of a convincing proof, but rather, they accept it because it works. Because when you have a problem in your life, your raise your hands and ask Allah Most High to fix it for you and He does. Because it explains things. It's disingenuous to say, "I don't accept anything without proof!" This is simply not true. When we walk into a building we've never seen before, we don't ask to see the blueprints to check the soundness of the architecture before we enter, to make sure it won't collapse on our head. Instead, we say, "Well, the building has been here this long, it will probably be fine while I'm inside." When we go to the butcher, we don't have the meat examined for germs and strains of disease before we eat it. Instead, we take it on good faith that the butcher is giving us good, clean meat. Why do we do these things? Because they're practical. Because they make life easier for us and work for us.

Rational thought leads us to believe that every complex creation on the face of the earth has something more complex behind it. When we see an airplane, who says that a bunch of scrap metal was sitting in a barn and a tornado came through, swirling the parts around until a 747 was assembled? No one with a single active brain cell asserts this. Similarly, when we see a literary masterpiece on a bookshelf, who would believe that some cans of soup fell off of a shelf onto a typewriter until "War and Peace" was completed. No one would say this. Every single thing we've ever seen in our experience on this planet suggests that complex creations can only come from a more complex creator. (The speakers cannot explain the symphonic ensemble from which the music has come.) The most complex thing on this earth is the human brain. With the invention of the electron microscope, we see that even an amoeba is more complex than we could ever imagine. To assert that these things created themselves -- and their own capacity to reproduce -- runs completely contrary to everything we experience in this life. If every single act has an actor behind it, why should the most interesting event of all -- the Big Bang -- be any different?

People become religious because it is practical. Any societal researcher will tell you that it's a well established fact that religious people lead longer lives than non-religious people. It's also well established that religious people lead happier lives than non-religious people. Religion explains things, like why there is evil in the world. (It's a test.)

I warn you and others against using the Qur'an as a science book. It's not a science book. Today's popular science is tomorrow's joke. One of the scholars of tafsir was adamant about the miracle of the Qur'an describing how honey comes from the stomach of the bee. Later, scientists claimed that it's not actually the stomach, but the motion of the legs. So, a Muslim "scholar" came forward to say that this interpretation of "stomach" is actually a word that can be used for the legs and this is what it means. In the end, scientists said, "No, it's the stomach after all," leaving the Muslims who use the word of Allah as a science book to look ridiculous and miss the whole point. The Qur'an was not sent to tell us about dinosaurs or to tell us about different types of toothpaste, but rather it was sent for a much bigger purpose -- you. Allah is speaking to you about you and your infinitude -- how you will be forever with Allah -- "One party in paradise and one party in the hellfire." There are many things science doesn't know. There is much more that we don't know than we do know, many times over. If you look at the number of life forms that have been discovered in the last 30 years, it strikes awe in the heart and the intellect that can think. Is science interested in God? The hubris and arrogance that exists in our world today blinds people into neglecting to realize the obvious.

And Allah Most High knows best. And all praise is due to Allah, Lord of all the worlds.

Was-salaam.

Don't be quick of wrath. Stop cutting off peoples heads.

Prayer and fasting is often necessary before a lesson or debate.

I would love to dialog with a Muslim that knows what he's talking about. I am a dedicated Christian and I respect your right to be wrong. Would to hear more.

I like this argument for the existence of a Higher Maker: if you take the phrase " past time is infinite" and prove that it isn't true, then there would have to be a beginning, which opens up many possibilities. So, the way you disprove it is you take the definition of infinite, which is an unachievable end, and compare it to the definition of the past, which is a time that has been achieved. An achieved time is not unachievable, it's already been achieved. So, "past time is infinite" must be false. Meaning there must be a beginning

well, Im a Christian and I believe in God, but I also believe in Jesus Christ as well. Honestly I dont know as much as I probably should about Muslims and I think alot of people are in the same boat. As far as debates, thats a tough one because you have your beliefs and Im sure your very faithful towards them but I also have mine and I am very faithful in my beliefs as well. All I can do is try not to judge others and treat them as a fellow human being. God Bless you.

Allah manifests Himself in truly magnificent ways that make His presence undeniable. Since everything that happens is Allah's will and Muslims in Iraq are slaughtering one another on a daily basis with mind numbing savagery, all we need do is marvel and rejoice in this wonderful way that Allah reveals Himself and then no one can have any doubts about Allah at all.
