god and the higher realms are visited by shamens and prophets, why are they so hard to exept for people? i know that the universe is dark and its hard to think about light existing in a non-existant place but still it exists. the universe is vast, unlimeted, and eternal so why cant human be the same way? or something called "god" be the same way? do you atheists ever look into flowers and lightbulbs and wonder if this light is real and how it exists in people? are we just more thatn animals?

PLEASE READ ALL:My parents were foster parents for 18 years of my life, their first foster child was a baby named Jesse. Baby Jesse had 3/4 of his brain removed b/c of things his mother did. He had no brain function to have ANY motor skills or sight, ect. Basically my parents were told he just needed somone to love him till he died. My parents being believers, could not accept that. Baby Jesse started showing improvement after 3 mos. My parents continued to pray and try to convince the doctors he could see. Well finally long after he SHOULD have died,he was put up for adoption.Legally he had to do tests and be checked out, ect. Come to find out...w/o a brain, he could somehow see?! 7 years later, we kept in contact, and when he spoke with my dad he was so anxious to get off the phone to go ride his bike...? Keep in mind: NO brain @ all to have mobility. Some of the TOP doctors couldn't even explain it "logically". If God didn't do a miraculous work in his life, explain to me what did???

Those who post hateful comments and call yourselves christian consider this passage:

Galatians 5:22-23 (NLT)

22 But the Holy Spirit produces this kind of fruit in our lives: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, and self-control. There is no law against these things!

People argue constantly, but an argument rarely ends with one person saying "Okay, you're right, I give in." Have you noticed this? How do You persuade people without arguing? How are you persuaded?

I argue with people all the time about pit bulls. I love them, but people who hate them, just hate them. I want to know how I can change there minds. Or do you think their minds will just never be changed?

Let's try to get to the bottom of this. Immature born-again's and "I only believe what I can see" athestics need not apply. Open minded realist's only please. If you know that the question of god's existance is still unknown let me hear your side. I am not interested in hearing "Jesus loves you" or
any Professor Leaky lies.

what Robert Hume said in 1758---What is more likely, that the diversity and complexity we see all around us came about by laws of nature that we can observe, or by supernatural Intelligent Designer that we cannot observe. This was even before Darwin.

Do you agree? Why or why not.

Why has it become ok for people to say ALL white people are racist? Anyone who downs anyone's culture is a racist. The problem is now that it has become ok in society to downgrade white people.I am getting very tired of hearing how horrible "we" make things for everyone when the people who are down grading my race are usual better off than me, or are celebrities on television, etc.
There are a lot of racist people out there. But they are not all white.

do you think God will forgive someone who has depression, which is a mental disorder, and commits suicide? everyone says that suicide is a sin, but how can it be a sin if the cause of suicide is a mental disorder? There was once a priest (Catholic) in my home town that committed suicide, and he had depression. So does that mean God will not forgive him eventhough he lived his whole life doing good? He was ill, it wasn't his fault. This is very confusing to me.

What do you think? Is there anything in the Bible that talks about mental illness and suicide? There has to be an exception. it just doesn't seem fair that God will not forgive someone for something that is beyond a persons control (depression IS beyond someones control, it takes over a persons life and they are unable to live a normal life).

I would have to give my most memorable ex the song "You give love a bad name" by Bon Jovi (I think?)
You know the one that goes, "shot through the heart, and you're to blame, you give love a bad name. I play my part and you play your games, you give love a bad name" yep...describes her to a T.

Besides the fact that Jehovah is the false name for God...... In the New Testament, Jesus NEVER addressed the Father as Jehovah. If the Watchtower Society is correct that God must always be referred to as Jehovah, then Jesus was way out of line. Jesus began many prayers with, Our Father. We are told as Christians to cry out to our God as "Abba, Father" (Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6). According to the Greek manuscripts the word Jehovah does not occur a single time in the New Testament.
