Yeah, I was sad that we lost her, but was relieved that 1) her suffering was over, and 2) she finally got to be with the Lord she loved and served for her entire life.

Tammy Faye managed to keep a firm inner strength through some mighty hard times, and was able to cling to her faith as well. She was the epitome of a true Steel Magnolia. And wasn't it refreshing to see a vocal Christian who was accepting of all different people and who spoke of and shared the love of Christ instead of threatening the wrath of an angry God? We could all stand to take a few tips from her about love, respect, strength, character, acceptance, etc.

Yeah, I'll miss her.

Poor soul! My mother fought a hard battle with cancer for 3 years before it took her and I know firsthand how horrible it can be.

I saw Tammy Faye on Larry King. It was filmed a day or two before she passed away. I felt so sorry for her. She looked awful ... down to 65 pounds.

I believe in God. I believe she is in a peaceful place now. Her physical pain and suffering are over.

I don't intend to disrespect her, or the dead. But why should we; mostly GLBT people, be saddened by the death of a Christian evangelist and fundamentalist? I don't know what her opinions were on GLBT people, but I assume they were not too great. Yeah I don't like to hear about people dying, but I cannot get too upset when someone who was likely a part of our problem is gone.

Jerry Falwell or whoever that was who died recently. I was not saddened ONE BIT by his death. Someone who spread hate and propaganda against us based on religion? How can you feel sorry for that. But like I said earlier, I don't specifically know *her* opinions on it.

I'm not saying she shouldn't be respected as a person. I just do not believe we should have compassion or remorse for people who bash us or are opposed to us. Their religion is no excuse. She in specific may have been perfectly fine with it, I don't know, never checked. But never will I say that someone doesn't deserve respect due to their religion.

She ws one of the most kind hearted people -did you ever see her on The Surreal Life -she was so kind to everyone - never wanted to talk bad about anyone at all. Even when that witch Sally Jesse tried to get her to run down ROn Jeremy and that alkie girl.

Sweet woman - hope she finds the comfort she has been longing for down here.

I liked her. What I liked about her was that she tried to see the goodness in everyone. Btw i think JM is still alive. He was in Hairspray on Broadway.

I am always saddened when anybody dies, but also happy for them as they've passed to the next experience.I think the reasons we mourn are kind of selfish reasons. We can't see them again, we can't hear them anymore , and we won't be able to enjoy their presence anymore. Its best to celebrate their new life and love them in spirit and memory.

Yes, it is really sad. Cancer is horrible and probably one of the worst ways to go. It was her journey though and what a trip it must have been. I just hope she got to reach a place of inner peace and was able to accept her death when it came.

She was a sweet lady. I saw her on the Surreal Life and was surprised how accepting she was. She wasn't the least bit bothered if you were L, G, B, or T. I'm sorry to see her go, but at least it puts an end to her suffering.

Saddened by her passing, but relieved she is not in pain anymore. She really seemed to be suffering at the end.
