I would say probably about the same, but with the media access today it makes it seem much worse. As long as there is religion people will continue to kill and die for it.

I'd say it hasn't gotten any worse in the past couple millinia ; religion has always been a tense topic that has been central to wars and political oppression throughout the world. At least today, there are many countries that at least claim to be completely religiously tolerant. And religious toleration is seen as a good thing by a lot of people.

I think there is less tension now because while there are fervent believers in all faiths around the world, I think percentage wise there are more moderates today than there were in those same faiths in the past. I credit that to more knowledge.

As time passes there will be more moderates and the moderates will eventually evolve towards agnosticism

Good question btw

Seems like its worse. Less tolerance. Muslims seem to think all Christians are sinners, Christians seem to think all Muslims are violent terrorists. Even the Pope said all churches but the Catholic Church were a waste of time. No respect, no tolerance, all the goodness that all religions have to teach is being ignored and only the human weakness of hatred is being preached. Too bad.

There is no difference in tensions!

But back then, people got killed at a drop of a hat, and that was a daily occurrence.

But now a days, you can go to jail for a hate crime if you so much AS TOUCH SOMEBODY OF A DIFFERENT RACE, CREED OR RELIGION.

Hell of a crazy world we now live in, ahhy!
