that the New and Old testament are almost nothing alike? Like it is written by a *gasp* different god?
Which is the right god, oh no oh no!

Gui, no where do I see any mention of Jesus in that quote.
BTW, I used to be a devout Christian, I have read the entire Bible BEFORE I was 12!

As with anything, a person needs to know basics before they go on to the next level....
The Old Testament is the "basics' and the New Testament is the "graduate" ....
....or, what I usually call the FOUNDATION and the STRUCTURE/HOUSE....or.... "Father and Son"
They need each other for COMPLETENESS.
Guess you could say it is a Family run enterprise! :)
Peace be with you :)

Well, the studio hired a different guy to write the script for the sequel. He added this whole new "Jesus" character because they couldn't get any of the original actors to come back. You've already noticed they got a new actor to play "God."

Actually they link together perfectly if read just like you would any other book. Beginning, middle, end. No one picks up any other book and only reads a little in this part and a little in that part. People seem to only do this with the Bible for some reason and then say "it contradicts itself!" when it doesnt when you read it from beginning to end. It's like picking up someones auto biography and reading a part in the end of the book that says the writer had 3 brothers... and then seeing in the beginning that he had no siblings and skipping the whole story in the middle as to where these brothers came from :)
Read it from start to finish, it blends together very nicely :)

Everything in the New Testament is already stated in detail in the TANAKH. Every word that Jesus spoke was almost a direct quote, most were direct quotes with only his comments on them added. He also quoted the book of Enoch and Rabbi Hillel.

And different language. And different theology.
OT: God is the source of all good and evil. If you win his favor and toe his line, he may reward you with bountiful crops, military victories, many children. If you piss him off, you get plague, famine, and defeat. Heaven is for gods, there is no hell. One person in all of history was considered worthy of promotion to heaven. Everyone else simply dies. Satan is one of God's servants, he tests men at God's direction.
NT: God and Satan on opposing teams fighting for the souls of people. All people have immortal souls and go to one of two afterlives. God is the source of all good, Satan is the source of all evil. Earthly fortunes have nothing to do with your ultimate judgment.
Impossible: I have read it from beginning to end, in several versions. The difference between the OT and NT is staggering.

The Old Testament has Jesus throughout it, from beginning to end. Pray that God gives you eyes to see the truth. Read Psalm 22 for instance.

Nonsense! Prophecies about Jesus start in Genesis 3:
"And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel." Genesis 3:15
