1) Yes we can eat bagels
restrictions:
1) cannot eat anything that is connected to pig (includes all pig meat and any product creating using any part of a pig (eg pig gelatin is not allowed)
2) cannot eat any meat that has not been butchered using the halal method (specific way to kill the animal) u can research it.
3) cannot eat any see food that does not have scales. This is a somewhat grey area as crabs and lobsters and other shellfish while not technically having scales are allowed, whereas octopus/squid/cuttlefish are not allowed as well as oyster/muscles and some specific types of seafood are not allowed.
4) Insects (i have no idea)
5) Vegetables: no restrictions at all
6) Cannot have any drink or food that contains alcohol in it. This is all wines/liquors/beer (even de-alcalized <-- though not quite sure about that). I am also not sure on the status of food cooked in wine or other alcohol containing beverages where the alcohol evaporates almost instantly.
these are the main no-no's of what a muslim can eat. I may have missed some but these are the main ones.

Yes we eat bagels. I assume because bagels are associated with Jews that people may think we Muslims would not eat them. There is nothing in Islaam that says you can not eat the food of the non-Muslims that I am aware of. There are restrictions such as certain types of meat but in general you can eat what you want.

I am a Muslim....Bagels are one of my favorite foods, especially New York bagels nothing like them in the world...As long as the food is not haraam we may eat it.

yeah we eat bagels. why wouldn't we? we don't eat pork or food w/ pork products in it. but bagels are just grain and chemicals to make it take a certain way and that is it

i don't believe that they contain any ingredients that are not 'halal'.
