Herra is pronounced like it's written, but the r's sound the same like they do in Spanish

ég is pronounced "yegh"

disobeyed is English, it's not an Icelandic word

því is prounounced "thvee"

miður is "mithur" (i like in "inn")

þóknast is "thouk-nast"

fyrirgefa is "fyrir-geva"

minn is prounounced like it's written, wih i like in "inn"

sál is "saul"

In all Icelandic words the emphasis is on the first part of the word.

By the way, that sentence is not grammatically correct and it doesn't make much sense the way it's written. If you want to say "Mr. I disobeyed unfortunately, please forgive my soul" the correct way would be "Herra ég hlýddi því miður ekki, fyrirgefðu sál minni."

hlýddi is pronounced "hleed-di" (i like in "inn")

ekki is pronounced "eh-ki" (i like in "inn"

fyrirgefðu is "fyrir-gev-thu"

minni is "minni" (again, i like in "inn")

Hey there!

How does one pronounce Ég? It is pronounced as 'jɛːɣ' (I hope you can see the IPA.)

Roughly, it sounds like a y, followed by the sound in 'h/ea/d' pronounced long, and followed by the voiced velar fricative, a sound that cannot be approximated in English. I will send you a link with an .ogg file that shows how to pronounce the letter:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Voiced_velar_fricative

I hope that this helped!

Best wishes,

C.s.
