This question was "jogged' by another Y!A member. He had observed that he seemed to notice that 'he' was always with him wherever he went! =D A very keen observation, indeed!

This is at the very root of what some call "enlightenment/awakening".

To take note that there is a constant awareness 'following' you... It is an ALWAYS THERE presence!

As I said to him, even when you are asleep, you are fully aware that you have slept. If this were not the case, you would have huge blanks...I'm here, not here, kinds of blanks!

To continually stay in 'touch' this with this always-there-presence eventually, one dies to the ego driven sense of self...the suffering sense of self

This constant energy/sense cannot die. Your form fades (like that old Polaroid photo!), but energy is constant.

Words! These subtle, yet simple, concepts are so, so difficult to describe. We must keep at it...I guess. Ha ha.

How did they say a person could free themselves from the sins of the world? how did they tell an individual they could achieve eternal life?

How did they give a person HOPE, HAPPINESS, SPIRITUAL HEALING?

Or are you saying they are just Good Men who had some Good ideas for human beings?

The term Xian was once used by Christians themselves along with Xmas.

The X was Latin (or maybe Greek I forget) shorthand for Christ in there language.

After I got married I am always getting asked so when are you having a baby? Don’t you want kids? How many kids do you want? Well truth is I don’t know if I want/can have kids yet or ever because…
1. I am not ready for them financially or emotionally
2. If I do decide to have them one day I want to be the best parent I can be mentally

So far as doctors know I am infertile.(miracles can happen) So when people ask me these questions it is kind of a sore spot. I mean how do I respond and when I do say. I’m not ready, I’m not sure if I want kids or I can’t have children I get these horrified looks. And to tell you the truth I think it is okay for a woman not to have a child it does not make her any less of a woman. I just wish people would stop treating me like I am less of a woman because I can not have a child, and that I might not choose to have one either. Your thoughts on how I should respond to these people…

I'm flattered when guys stare at mine of course, but I also wish they could stare at the other parts of my body an not just at my racks. =)

Mind you, I also sometimes stare at the other girls' and fantasize some stuffs. LoL!!

Am I just a hypocrite here...? What do all of you think here? Guys and girls? As a Lady myself, what should I do or tell him (or even her)?

For example, he lets a woman with 5 kids die in a car accident or through domestic violence. Why? What does he need that woman specifically for in heaven? To help do his laundry and cooking with the thousands of other women up there?

Don't her kids need her more?

When I was 8 year old, my ears got clogged up and I saw two men (form of white fig.) walking on the sky. Person looked like shepherd with long staff was helping other person who seem to be in lots of pain and man with the staff was encouraging him something and they when on for long journey. This was not a dream. I was playing with my friends when this happened, but when I asked my friends if they see them they all said no. Now, I’m still not a good Christian but always wondering why I saw it but more and more I realize that God had shown me a answer to heaven so there for its better than winning a lotto.

So many times I see atheists write that religion is being forced on kids in school. Can you give examples of this? I have seen just the opposite.

One of my friend's kids had an assignment to write an essay on a hero. The little guy wrote about Jesus and the teacher refused to put his essay up on the wall with the other kids'. Doesn't this show that it is atheism being pushed on kids, not Christianity?

I generally ask questions in the Family/Relationships category, however, yesterday I came across this area and found it immediately intriguing.
There is something that I wonder about....
When answering a question that is about God/Jesus/the Bible, why do so many who claim to be believers answer glibly, sometimes carelessly, and often in a format that implies the answer is nothing more than their own opinion?
If you are answering a question regarding these issues should you not answer with something specific and concrete which supports your answer....namely, the word of God?
For example, I just answered a question in which someone asked why premarital sex is a sin. Many answered, most of whom obviously read and/or believe the Bible, but they all answered without Biblical reference. My answer was, simply "Because God says so," and then I backed it up with verses.
Any thoughts?
