Like really blast the music in your car, rock from the sixties and seventies? Should old guys like myself be mellowing out, becoming more mature? Bach and Beethoven and such?

No you provide inspiration for me. I hope to be jamming in the car when I am in my 60's. LOL my grandkids will be telling me to turn it down.
Im 33 and the most amount of money I spend on anything has to do with car audio. :)

Well, when you're over 60, chances are you've had some hearing loss, especially if you've spent years blasting 60's & 70's rock, so I would imagine it would make perfect sense to crank it up.

As far as clasical vs. rock, it is all a matter of taste. I crank up Mussorgsky, Bach, Mozart, etc., and I'm 30-something.

ROCK ON, BABY!! I'm over 60 and I believe when they mention 'rock' in whatever old folks home I'm in someday, It will be the Grateful Dead, Uriah Heep, Black Oak Arkansas (Go Jim Dandy!). Puh-leeeese..I only casually listened to classics ever, so don't see any reason to make them a habit now. Be yourself, there are a lot of us still rockin' with you! Now, if you choose, smoke that doobie and listen to "Nights in White Satin" and think of this old rocker.

When I'm 60, I'm probably still going to crank up my Michael W Smith tunes in the car......

And the Gaithers......they're just too fun to play at a low volume!

No. I'm not quite 60 (well...ten years short) - but I've been known to crank up a little "Ziggy Stardust" or "Who's Next" driving around Hollywood.

Just take them old records off the shelf,
I sit and listen to them by myself.
Todays music ain't got the same soul.
I like that old time Rock and Roll.

I hope I never stop yelling that song!!!!!
