Cherry Tattoo Designs - Certain fruits have strong fertility symbolism, and a deep red, ripe, juicy cherry is no exception. The cherry has come to represent chastity and purity as the fruit ripens on the tree. Once plucked, a cherry represents the loss of innocence and virtue. A cherry tasted is a virgin no more.

A cherry surrounded in flames speaks of unquenchable desire or passion.

"Man that car is cherry!", is a remark that people used to make when they seen a car that was was in mint condition, new or like new condition and was fully loaded or had a lot of horse power!

More than likely the cherry tattoo symbolizes or implies that the person wearing it, thinks they are in cherry condition too
and it's their way of announcing this to the world!

Or perhaps cherry is their favorite fruit and they are wearing it for that reason.

Or at one time, virgins were called cherry. Or a new girl in a new school was often called cherry.

Perhaps the person wearing the tattoo's name is Cherry, if the person is a female.

There once was a popular series for girls called Cherry Ames which is also making a comeback.

Cherry Ames, Candy Striper, Student Nurse, Army Nurse, War Nurse,,, etc, etc, etc over 20 books

Basically a cherry represents anything that is virginal, pure, fresh, new or in like new condition with little or no damage to it!

I haven't seen a cluster since the fifties. They were deflowering brags at that period of teendome.
