Certain religions (respectfully unnamed) feel it is their duty to proselytize. They are sufficiently vigorous about it that they sometimes forget their manners. And sometimes the targets of their attacks (because it does feel like an attack, believe me) also forget their manners. The next thing you know, there really is hate flying around.
You would be exposing hate if instead of simply going to a different restaurant, you attempted to force the restaurant I want to patronize to close, or vandalized the place, or tried to drag me by the arm to pull me into the one you prefer, or even if you said I was disgusting for wanting to patronize that foul greasy spoon. In other words, for having bad manners or over-reaching what is, after all, a matter of personal taste.

Interestingly, it is because they are being consumed by their environment. After all, if all they hear is the following:
Democrat: If you want to cut taxes, you want to starve children. Why do you hate children?
Republican: If you speak against the war, you are a traitor. Why do you hate America?
Liberal: Immigration is good, who cares if they are illegal? Why are you a racist?
Conservative: We can't accept just anyone who crosses the border, anymore than you'd let a stranger into your house. Why do you hate the laws?
Muslims: (Extremists): You don't worship our religion, our way, we will destroy you all.
Christians (Complete Whacko types like the godhatesfags church): You must obey every word in here or you will go to hell. See, god hates fags, and he's killing American soldiers because of it.
With all these examples, it is no wonder that some followers of religions are the same way. Some people have lost touch with the moderate people, who just want to be left alone.
But then, this is just my opinion.

I don't. To each their own but when I am asked a God question I'm going to give a God answer. and I believe it should be with respect for individuals not condemning.
I've seen so many Christians/others tell what someone should do and how to do it and do it our way or else , I mean lets have some maturity, adults!

This is gonna be fun. I wonder how many different people will decide your question was an attack at THEM. I posted something once that asked about my thumbs down. I got responses from "fellow" Christians, "fellow" atheists, and "fellow" Catholics. The irony was, I'm Wiccan.

Religion is based on emotional manipulation. It uses emotional hooks to get and keep converts because it really has no factual basis.
Therefore, the natural response from them to any challenge to their beliefs is an emotional one.

Are you talking about Christians? If you are, that is their nature.
