What purpose is there to pray for people who may be going through a difficult time that will make them a better person. Since I believe God has our best interest at heart anyway then why pray? Is praying for others for them or to make us better in dealing with them. I have trust that no matter what happens God is there to give me comfort. Is that what we should pray about for others that God send His Comforter to them but not necessarily change the situation if it is for their learning. Please help me with this matter. It has beeen on my mind for a long time. Mmm

Who will bet that half the racists (all 2 of them with their multiple handles) are actually living in their mom's basement and have created nothing, done nothing, but dream of riding the coat tails of historical figures.

Yay or nay?

Gay Bashers please dont answer this...... I have been in a long distance relationship with my girlfriend of 5 months. I cheated on her and feel really bad about it. I know being drunk is no exuse but I wasnt in my right mind. She forgave me for it and I thought that even though she doesnt trust me we were moving on with our relationship. But she now acuses me every day of doing things that I am not doing, over analizes everything I do and say. And makes up exuses and blows things way out of proportion so she has a reason not to come see me. She says she loves me. And I love her more than anything in this world, What do I do??? She was supposed to come up from Brooklyn New York tomarrow to see me for my birthday and now she is saying she doesnt want to see me. Cause she said I ****** UP AGAIN. Do u think she is seeing some one else? Do u think i should move on? She is the only person I have ever loved. I trust her completely and dont want to be with anyone else. HELP ME PLEASE!

Holy Spirit instead of what you have?

I know what you DO have, and it is not necessary to tell me that it is the way it is bc it is your God's will. I already know that, and I understand that. It isn't what I am asking. I am asking if, in your opinion, having the Mother and the Daughter instead of the Father and the Son would seem like any form of discrimination, or exclusion of the male principle in divinity?

An article I found at an online news site revealed that some public schools have begun introducing books into early elementary school curriculums that include homosexual behavior (such as same-sex parenthood and mild homosexual romance).

Examples:
A fairy tale called "King & King" about a King who turns down 3 princesses, but falls in love with and marries one of their brothers.

A story called "Spacegirl Pukes" is about a girl who gets sick before she takes a trip to space and is nersed back to health by her two mothers.

I wonder what the general reaction is among all of you at Yahoo! Answers? What do you think about this?

Christ received worship as God.

Jesus is worshipped by the angels (Heb. 1:6) and by man (Matt. 14:33), and yet only God is to be worshipped (Ex. 34:14). Christ Himself said that worship is due to God alone (Matt. 4:10), and yet He accepted worship. If Jesus in His pre-existent state were the archangel Michael, how could He have received worship, since angels are not allowed to receive worship (Rev. 19:10)? If Christ were not God, then worshipping Him would be idolatrous.

There are many, many more scriptures that could be quoted in support of the diety of God and Christ..

In Islam there is always a concept that no matter how sinful u r u can always change...and well this is not exactly a sin but I don't feel as if I'm as hospitable or kind as other people.

If we have someone for dinner we don't pour them their water or serve their plates. We just sit back and let them do it. I dont wanna make them uncomfortable but I feel like other people r more hospitable and giving than I am (not as in money, but as in guests and friends).

Thanks for the advice. Peace.

If Muhammed Said "You want to Love Allah, love thy creation first" and

"Shall I not inform you of a better act than fasting, alms, and prayers? Making peace between one another: enmity and malice tear up heavenly rewards by the roots. " And

"Do not say, that if the people do good to us, we will do good to them; and if the people oppress us, we will oppress them; but determine that if people do you good, you will do good to them; and if they oppress you, you will not oppress them."

Jesus Christ Said "Do not judge, and you will not be judge yourselves; do not condemn, and you will not be condemned yourselves; grant pardon, and you will be pardoned."

What did they mean , when they said all that, Please decode and help me understand how all of you are practicing these?

Reformed theology's eschatology is quite elegant and nuanced.

The Kingdom of God isn't abstract pie-in-the-sky.

Reformed theology holds that the Kingdom of God was brought to earth and made real at the time of Christ's Passion Upon the Cross.

Simultaneous to Christ's death, the eschaton was immanentized. The Kingdom of God was made real on this earth.

It exists absolutely, an omnipotent potential latent in all things and all people. It is real and is actualized by our obedience to God, love for God, by the kindness and love we show for others, by our forgiveness of others, and by the sincerity with which we ask God to forgive us our sins.

The Kingdom of God Is Here and Now.

Discuss.

Recently, I have been reading about how some people have been seeing ghosts (?) called Black Eyed Kids, or BEK for short. I guess essentially they look like children, but they have coal black eyes, no pupil or iris. In some instances, they arrive on your doorstep or greet you while you are still in the car and beg to "be let in". Am curious, has anyone here had any experiences with this type of entity?
