Holy Spirit instead of what you have?
I know what you DO have, and it is not necessary to tell me that it is the way it is bc it is your God's will. I already know that, and I understand that. It isn't what I am asking. I am asking if, in your opinion, having the Mother and the Daughter instead of the Father and the Son would seem like any form of discrimination, or exclusion of the male principle in divinity?

A very good question, one I have often thought about. What I find many (No disrespect intended) Christians forget is that their belief system was not the first...there is evidence of many before of which either carried equal balance between male and female or was matriarchal. So how is this explained away by those people of that belief?

Well considering women are not suppose to ask questions or speak at church, I think that already puts any fear of discriminating men out of the window...
Besides mother, daughter and holy spirit sound just a little too much like the Mother, Croon, and Maiden as in Bush saying Motherland sounds too much like Hitler saying Fatherland.

No, not at all, I don't see it as an EXCLUSION I see it as a blessing. In many regards the MALE is held more accountable with more expectation placed on him. Look what Jesus went though?
God being a spirit and designer of humanity knows woman and created the MIND of woman, that's INCLUSIVE.
If God happened to be female it wouldn't make any difference to me. Being caught up in this train of thought is because of the PHYSICAL ... God is spiritual, and His sex matters not.

No,but it would not be Biblical and Nicene Christian
Father /Mother with Son/Daughter seems more Gnostic or even Hindu to me as an orthodox Trinitarian Christian.

The book "Mother God , The Feminine Principle to Our Creator" by Sylvia Browne would be a good read for you if you haven't read it

No i would not be spiritualy excluded. And you know what, it might be perfect if it was Mother, son, and holy spirit! That way you have female, male, and other. And not only that, but what love (besides God's) is viewed as the strongest love on earth? A MOTHER'S LOVE FOR HER CHILD! Well besides all that..... I'd like there to be a different Trinity myself. I personaly can't distinquish the Holy Spirit from God. For all i know it is just a projection of God, and hence God himself. So I prefer to combine them. Now the Three people I'd like to put in a group are: God, Jesus, and Satan. Lol i know your thinking "WHOMG SATAN!!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" So let me explain it: God is the omnipotent being, Master of Good and Evil. Jesus, depicted as good (after all he did die for our sins :)). Now Satan. I think it is quite biased to just say "YIPPE! ALL GOOD NO EVIL!! :)" So we have Satan, Jesus's equivalent but for evil. He isn't meant to be WORSHIPED! He is ment to be ACKNOWLEDGED! After all he IS there, you shouldn't dillude urself into thinking he's not. But after all of this.... i am also on the verge of believing good and evil don't exist :)
edit: i'd also like to add that in Taoism, feminine qualities are placed much higher than masculine. They even depict the holiest of people with feminine qualities, like squatting to urinate...

I'm certain you would be accused of excluding the male personna in whatever equates to god, and would be accused of discrimination. The bible is a perfect example of the exclusion of the male race, to the access of god. Can the bible be called a book that discriminates against woman?

I never thought of it. But the Bible uses the male gender, so I will stick with that.

Well, Jesus was born to (of course) a woman. Therefore calling his other "parent" Father makes sense.
