From the majority of people, there are two theories about how existence came to be. The first is that an omnipotent being snapped his fingers and all of a sudden there were multiple universes and such. The second is there were numerous gases combining with eachother and a huge explosion that somehow fused the gases together and made millions of planets and stars. I dont know about you, but both seem illogical and silly. The only things I know that gas can make when compressed is ice and diamonds, I dont think scientists have found what gases make soil when pressed together. And I do not think I have to point out the flaws of a "Creator" to non-religious people. Getting that out of the way, is there a third more reasonable explaination?

My house recently burned down and my family was devastated, My dog died in the bath tub and my cat got lost. No one but my brother was home when it happened. He's fine now by the way. Everything was burned really badly, but the only thing that seemed to survive was this picture frame that my mom bought long time ago that says "BELIEVE" on it. Its so weird, I know it means to believe but do you think this could be a sign from God?

I've asked about dating and/or messing around with someone of a different religion, but it seems that when it comes to marriage things may be a little different. Would you actually marry someone of an opposing religion? By opposing I don't just mean "different," it seems that there are some religions that would get along quite nicely, but other religions are always placed as opposites: such as atheists (not a religion, I know) and Christians.

It's not a question of if it COULD work, it's a question of if you would ever do it yourself.

My mom & dad at age 81 , had a confirmed by pain , x-rays , M.R.I. a torn meniscus on her right knee and was on her way
to the O.R. . They ( doctors ) requested one last x-ray before
her scheduled surgery and , to their surprise found nothing but
the tear had completely healed . My mother then told them that
she went up to an alter call for faith healing service in her church as her husband did a while ago . She said after the service her knee did stop hurting , but thought the meds just finally started to work ! She's , off the cane now and walking like nothing ever happened . She is also
scheduled for a follow up M.R.I. in 5 weeks just so the doctors
can stop shaking their heads ..... A simular one happened with
my earthly father but his was cancer (palups) if spelled right ?
He is completely healed as well !! . Belief , Faith , Prayer , God , I believe . But what would your thoughts be as someone
who does not hold a belief ?

can you come up with 10 reasons why we are here?

why I have to get married, why I have to love, why I have
to have kids, why I have to live and sit around and do nothing,
why I have to work, why I have to have sex, why I have to do this and that, why people want to show themselves on tv, why some people want to be famous, why I can't pee outside, why I can't walk around naked outside, why I can't play set up bingo to make money, why I can't smoke marijana legally, why do we have rules... since we are a DNA?

Personally I feel America should make an example of this high profile case. Dog fighting happens all the time all throughout the country and world and I totally understand why the under privilage would do this for an income. As for M.V. I don't understand why you would intentionally hurt animals if your already a millionaire. He isn't getting treated unfairly, as some say he is, it's just everyone knows of his existance and it makes it more popular in media. If he gets away with this what is that going to prove?

There's no way to prove or disprove the existence of God, the Big Bang, the authenticity of the Bible, Evolution, and all the many hundreds of such topics. Why waste your time? All of this typing here -- questions and answers -- seems to say more about the askers/answers than about the questions.

Im so frustrated with christians sometimes. i hate to see all the so called "christians divided and not living the way the bible teaches" they go to church and praise the lord but go back home and live totally different. they don't teach their kids nothing dont influence them how to live right by GOD's word. They sin and they make mistakes and expect there kids to not do the same thing . parents have such a big influence on kids they dont' even know it. Also this different churches and different types of christians i just dont get it why cant we just all be christians followers of Jesus Christ. This groups are so different from eachother but yet they read the same book . This why christianity is so confusing to me.. I don't think that we show a good example to the people and other religions. I love Jesus and believe he is my saviour and I love GOD for everyday and eveything i have in life . but even i dont live the way the bible teaches im trying so hard though but i just dont see

So, I'm not going to name name's, but while answering a question I read someone said this:

"That means we all came from the same mom. That issue was settled at U. CAL. Berkeley in 1988 with DNA research by Wilson and Stoneking. You are way behind your own team pal-better step on the gas if you want to trip up creation."

yeah. that's what evolution says too. there had to be one human for the rest of us to come, right? exactly. and that one human mated with another human-like animal. and eventually came another species that had different traits, atleast that how i see it. so yes, there was one mom in the beginning.

hmm.. evolution and creation have one thing in common = )
what's your stand on the situation?

They are only unproven theories at best. Radiometric dating, Isotopes, and carbon -14 dating are all controversial. The earth by some accounts is very young and not billions of years old as some have postulated.

If the earth and life on earth were really as ancient as the theory of evolution requires, a great proportion of radiocarbon ages should be infinite. This is because, with a half-life of only 5730 years, initial radiocarbon in a fossil decreases in about ten half-lives to a level too low to be measured.

A large data base of radiocarbon ages are within the range of biblical chronology or not far beyond it as quiet as this information is kept from the public's view.

Creation scientists have noted these discoveries in their reports. Rarely recognized by the scientific community.
