"Prayer Warriors"

I mean absolutely no offense to that woman who had the prayer request. It was a horrible scenario she described.

However, her use of this term seemed appalling to me. I don't know, seemed a little contradictory. Thoughts anyone?

Whenever someone asks Christians how they know that their religion is correct and every other religion is wrong, Christians usually say that the Bible is the inspired word of God and tells them that it is the one truth. My question is: Doesn’t the Quran say somewhere that it is the word of Allah or at least, is inspired by Allah? Doesn’t it also say that Islam is the one true religion? Christians, do you realize that if you would have been born in a predominantly Muslim culture, it is almost statistically guaranteed that you would believe that Islam is the one true religion and that Christianity is false? If your Bible is correct and Christianity turns out to be the truth, do you realize that the eternal fate of most humans will be determined largely by where they are geographically located?

me and my hubby have sex 3-7 times a week and we live in apts. My neighbor of 7months (upstairs) is a single woman. My hubby mentioned abt 4 mos. ago, just in conversation, that our neighbor gets an earful so i started getting a little reserved with myself and feel like i can't enjoy my self a s much b/c i feel like this may bother my neighbor. my husband, on the other hand gets turned on even more when i moan and stuff but now it's hard for me to let go unless i know she isn't home which is rare b/c we are home at the same time most of the time, at night, which is when we usually can do it b/c our kids are asleep then and they are sound sleepers. I know my neighbor isn't more important than my hubby but she's okay by me and i don't want things to be miserable for her being that she has no one, but my hubby says let myself go. Don't get me wrong i haven't shut down completely but sometimes i hold back a little. Is this the right thing to do?

When I was in the fourth grade (1994-1995), our elementary school music teacher made us learn the national anthem (Star Spangled Banner) because we were going on a field-trip to watch an orchestra perform and they began the concert with the national anthem. When practicing, she taught us something that I have remembered to this day: it is rude to clap at the end of the national anthem. "Even if everyone around you is clapping, you shouldn't clap." It always stuck with me because ever since then I find myself adhering to her rule, but of course, EVERYONE always claps at the end of the national anthem. I don't want to seem rude by not clapping, but I want to follow the proper etiquette. I tried looking online for national anthem etiquette and all I can find is that we should stand and take off hats/caps during the song. Has anyone ever heard of the etiquette about not clapping? Is it an old rule that no one follows anymore so it's okay to break it? Comments?

Good? Bad? Indifferent? Do you think it's o.k. for Christians to read the books or allow their kids to read them? Why or Why not?

I mean we dont know anyone's circumstances. Lets take for example someone who has been in an abusive reltionship, wondering why they deserved that and are in need of help. If you didnt know what happened to he/she, for them having such an average mood since you dont know their past. Should You judge them? or is it that the unconditional love you may share with them will bring much needed joy to their Spirit. Similarly now we do not know circumstances of so many people around the World. So why is okay to Judge and not to Love?

Meaning, people say Muslims are x,y and z. Christians do bla bla, Atheist behave this way, etc? Do you agree that if we took time to listen to what we are each saying perhaps at that point we would stop generalizing all together and become more tolerant?

Christianity prides itself on being a community and a brotherhood.

However, the moment someone turns away from their faith, either by finding another faith, or becoming an atheist, those who remain as Christians often turn on them like vipers, making comments like, "Well, he/she was never a real Christian to begin with", when the week before they would have embraced lovingly him as one of their own.

Why is that? Are Christians honestly that fickle?
