I could use a thousand different examples really but cluster bombs is as good as any.
How does a Christian "Thou shalt not kill" reconcile this command from God with raining down slaughter on Iraqis?

Let me just head off one dead end.

Some will say that it's in the name of freeing Iraq from a greater evil Sadam Hussein. To that I say the soldiers of Iraq were not Sadam Hussein and neither were the tens of thousands of dead civilians.

So "thou shalt not kill" doesn't say any more than that. No ifs or buts. If God didn't mean exactly what he said then there would have been ten stone tablets and about another ten thousand others containing ammendments and special exceptions.

This is something I just don't get. Why do some people think that there religion is right and the others are wrong?

I'm sorry, but everyone doesn't like sushi, but I don't hate people for not liking sushi!!!

Why is it that people can't understand that a religion for one person, can not work for another? There are so many religions that fit into people's faith. They all teach to love, to be compassionate, to forgive.... what is the big deal with people having their own religions????

Tell me what you think, do you agree??

Imagine you went over to a friend's house one day, and found that he had figured out how to make little, tiny people - only one inch high. The little people were just like normal people only really tiny. They could talk to you, they could think on their own, make decisions, and feel emotions.

A couple days later, you went over to your friend's house again, and he told you that the little people wouldn't do everything he told them to. They weren't really being horribly bad, they were just not doing every little thing that your friend ordered them to do. Then he tells you that since they weren't completely obedient, he has decided to dump them all in his incinerator.

Since he made the little people, do you think it should be his right to just burn them all to death? Or would you call the cops?

My parents recently visited Malaysia & the people they stayed with had an Indonesian maid. She had decorated a plant outside with empty eggshells. She spoke no english so no one could ask her why.(the owners of the home didn't even know why.) DOes anyone know anything about it? I've tried Googling but haven't found anything.

Ever notice, When something bad happens, God gets the 'blame'? People even use the name of His Son "Jesus Christ" to curse Him for causing their problems. Ever wonder 'why' no one uses the name of 'buddah' or 'harrai chrishna'? (forgive the mispell) , when they feel like cursin'? However when things go well or something 'great' happens in their lives, 'they' take the credit.... It is also interesting to note, that the de-il seems to be 'only' responsible for the 'temptations' to sin, in this world... Why is that?....All backwards????

Im a single woman 20 years old (and just to state now...i know im only young....but that is not the point!)

Ive been single for over a year now..... and both me and my friends even random people i meet cant understand why!

when I like a girl I complement them alot and treat them and when im in a relationship i buy them gifts just because (but not like expensive gifts at first just maybe the odd rose and night out) but im still single.... ive never raised my voice to a partner, ive never even got angry no matter what....

so why am i still single? so please come on women....how do u like to be treated?? cos the whole treating them like princess just doesnt seem to work! I cant be single any longer im a romantic im about 1 month tops from pulling my hair out as i run along the gay streets screaming! lol!!

Did you get that? This person ACTUALLY thinks that a Scientific Theory is "just an assumption".

Are the same people who believe that the week talked about in Daniel, insist that it is years not a literal week? Can they both be literal? Or must they both be figurative and Why do you think that?
