I totally agree!! The bible says that we fight not against flesh and blood, but principalities and rulers of darkness. How could we fight against these things if we don't believe they exist. If I don't believe that their are criminals and murderers out there and leave my door open....are they going to come in..if given the opportunity...YES! They may take my credit card., check book, TV..etc....and because I don't believe that they exist...I will blame it on something else. They may also continue to take my stuff without me knowing. That's how the devil operates. If you don't believe he exist...he can come in your life and steal your hope, belief in God, peace, joy, etc.

satan is not a being or a fallen angel. Whover started that myth has no real idea what God or an angel is about. An angel is an evolved being on such a high level that falling as in being tempted by vanity and lusts is so many levels beneath that level as to not even be possible. Clearly that person was speaking from an earthbound, unenlightened view projecting his own situation on to this mythical being he called Satan. Only a very unenlightened person would believe that there is an angel of God called Satan or even any dark angels at all. Darkness belongs to earthbound souls, unevolved souls.

I will base this on the premise that what you say is true. This being the case, it is not genius, but rather complete idiocy. Gods only have the power that belief gives them. Thus to convince everyone that you as a god do not exist would end the belief and consequently cause you to no longer exist. It would make more sense to try to convince people that you are misrepresented by the other faction and that in fact you are the positive aspect (say the epitome of freedom as that is a big thing with humans), thus increase the belief in yourself. The more belief, the more power. Increase the belief in yourself and decrease the belief in your opposition (in this case god) and you eventually become the most powerful and the roles reverse themselves.

He's the Prince of Lies for a reason, man. That's the power that Satan has on the world if you want to think of Satan as a guy walking around. Twisting reality into falsehood as to tempt people into doing evil. Personally, the epitomy of Satan as a red guy with hooves and a pitchfork is pretty Saturday morning cartoon for me... ;) Pretty simply put- Satan, to me, is more of an identifier for the energy that draws us towards things we know are morally wrong. It is the temptation for evil.

No.
The biggest lie was the priests persuading people that God, and his lackey Satan, are real.
Just keep putting the cash on the plate and don't ask awkward questions.

Absolutely true.If you don't believe he's there, how on earth could you be aware of his deceptive practices? When you are aware of him, you can watch for his workings and avoid falling into his temptations and ways of thinking. He is a supernatural power of suggestion to the mind. People on here express his views all the time and they think that theses are their original ideas. I know because I was once one of them.God bless!!

This argument reminds me of something else:
"I am not the messiah!"
"Only the real messiah would deny he is the messiah!"
