Just like you said...this has gone on forever...and it will never stop I am afraid...
its just runs deep in the veins of many people...nothing will make them change
the way that they think....and they will fight
to make their point until the END.

Because it means life to us.
Did you see the Val Kilmer "Batman" movie where Tommy Lee Jones playing "Two-Face" decides everything with the toss of a coin? Batman defeats him when Two-Face tosses his coin, Batman tosses dozens of similar coins in the air with the real one. Two-Face falls to his death trying to catch all the coins. False religion is the same way.
Only following the way God approves for His worship will gain people life. Satan has effectively thrown thousands of similar looking religions into the air with the true one. Only God, not Satan, can give life. Satan doesn't want any to get it right.
Most false Christian religions mix just enough Bible truth with a lot of pagan teachings to make it seem to be right. It would not stand up to the real stuff. If you have never known the real stuff, how would you be able to tell? Any good cook can tell you real ingredients dazzle above the synthetic ones.
The true religion uses teachings from the Bible only, pure. It does not mix the pagan synthetic teachings of man into the batch. This makes the batch small but, clearly defined apart from others. It requires looking close to find the bright spot among all the weak candles.
How is that for mixed metaphor? How is that for a different opinion?

Any organized religion is bad, to listen to someone else tell you how, or what to believe is completely insane to me. I think some need that though, I do not. I have found my own beliefs, and it surely isn't the atheistic belief of nothing. That is just a little to lame for me, shows very low intellectual thought, imagination, and self-worthiness. But, if you want to follow someone else, fine go and be a follower. Or you can find your own path and make the decisions in life based on what you believe. That is what is cool about it you get to choose, no one else should be able to do that for you, unless you allow it!!!

Beacause darkness hates Truth. Do you not believe in spiritual warfare? We are in a spiritual warfare for our souls
( Ephesians 6:12 ). We are not supposed to be tossed to and fro by false doctrines of men who lurk around seeking what ignorant souls they can devour ( Ephesians 4:14 ). Christians have been wrestling against spirit rebels since Adam and Eve. But as long as we wear the armour of God we will continue to stand against Satan's attacks and not be defeated ( Ephesians 6:11-18 ).

Because with many religions (such as Christianity, Hinduism, and Islam) how a person lives on earth determines where they will end up after they die. If a person believes in heaven or a paradise like place and they believe that is where they are going, they do not want to hear from someone else that they can't go there because they are not apart of a certian religion. It kills their hope.

Because people are ignorant of the shared fundamentals related to transformation that all religions are based on. They differ from culture to culture, and only exploriing them all would allow you to understand this. Each one attempts to explain our relationship to reality.
Until the fields of psychology and physics are further advanced to show the clear link between a stabilized authentic Self and physical causality - the fights will continue.

99% don't. Unfortanitly, the media only covers the 1% because the other 99% aren't "exciting" enough to sell papers which only increases the hate.
In 2002, 1000's of priests went to Africa and South America for humanitation missions. Was this covered? No, the papers were too busy covering the 126 that were involved in abuse cases.
Same thing for Muslims and terroism.
Hence people in any religion only hear negative news about other religions and never positive. Whens the last time you heard about a Jewish, Muslim, or Christian charity on the news even though they occur a lot more frequently than the negatives.
See, even when I try to educate people about the positives of religion, i still get a thumbs down because people only focus on the negative and close their ears to anything positive.

If you don't feel that you belong to the true religion, then why belong to it at all? I think religions who don't claim to be the one true religion are lost and have no true direction--they are more interested in pleasing people and avoiding conflict than following Christ. A church who truly follows Christ will be his church. Jesus set up a church while he was alive on the Earth and we need to be members of that Church and not some man-made organization. One Lord, one faith, one baptism = one True Church.

Because people tend to get upset when the belief system they have taken so close to heart gets ridiculed or even valid points made against it, it makes them feel defenseless so they feel trapped in a corner like an animal and attack!

Nobody wants to be wrong, and nobody will admit they are wrong. They want to believe that their magical fairy tale is the only one that will come true when you die..... they don't want to suffer the consequences of their own fairy tale so they have to adamantly refute all other religions for the sake of making their fairy tale creator happy and thus granting them eternal reward in their afterlife of joy.
