No not anymore, I ask plenty of white girls that question too! Tons of girls nowadays of all races have extensions. For example Paris Hilton and Tori Spelling have them.

I don't think I would get offended because black people do it all the time too. In this day and time so many women no matter what color they are are wearing weave and YES that's includes a lot of white women. They were weaves to achieve length just like black women do so don't be fooled. Some black women tend to have hair that grows slower. It doesn't mean it doesn't grow long, it just grows slower. Don't take offense if this is happening to you. Just take it as a compliment and be glad your one of the few that doesn't have to have fake hair and you can be proud to show them that it really is yours and that black people can have long hair too.
P.S
By the way,
I'm a black woman

Well, if you look at t.v., they're not all entirely wrong!
I'm asked if my hair is "fake" or "all mine" and I'm not offended by it at all. Of course, mine is real. If anything the question stems from what people of different races see in the media and most black women around them. I don't think it's "racist" at all. But, then again you have to wonder where the question is coming from:
What? Black women can't possibly have long hair?

I'm not black, but I went to school once and I didn't have a chance to straighten my curly hair. Everyone loved it, but they kept on asking me if I was wearing fake hair (which I'd never do) becuase they were so used to seeing me with my hair straightened. I think that it's really just a compliment. Because fake hair looks practically perfect. So they must be thinking the same thing about your hair!

Honestly, it is a question based upon a stereotype, HOWEVER- were I a black woman, knowing that a great deal of black women wear wigs or weaves, I don't see the intentions as being racist. If I asked someone that it would not be intended nor derived from racism.

I think it is a rude question. For example, would you ask someone if they are wearing a wig. I don't know if this happens to other races or not, but for some reason, people thinks it's okay to ask if you have extensions, and some will even come up and start touching your hair!.

If they're just curious, then maybe it's ok. But if they ask in an insulting way then it's mean. I guess it's not exactly racist because alot of women who aren't black have fake hair.

I don't think its racist necessarily; they're probably not use to seeing many black females with long hair or have seen quite a few of them with weave
But it's not always good to assume, you might offend someone. That's like going up to a woman with a big belly and saying "when's the baby due?" and then she goes "I'm not pregnant." LOL

White people get asked the same question. It is not a racist thing unless you make it into one. The question is really no different than asking if your boobs are real, or if your teeth are real. It is not related to race.

Sometimes...I'm Black and Cuban...I have naturally wavy hair. It comes just past my shoulders. I have women of all colors and races that ask if it's all my hair. When I was younger before I started to experiment with color and relaxers it was down my back...some girls would pull it to see if it was real...needless to say i got into a lot of fights...Now that I'm older...I'm used to it...They can say they don't believe me...I don't care as long as they keep their hands to theirselves.
