From the majority of people, there are two theories about how existence came to be. The first is that an omnipotent being snapped his fingers and all of a sudden there were multiple universes and such. The second is there were numerous gases combining with eachother and a huge explosion that somehow fused the gases together and made millions of planets and stars. I dont know about you, but both seem illogical and silly. The only things I know that gas can make when compressed is ice and diamonds, I dont think scientists have found what gases make soil when pressed together. And I do not think I have to point out the flaws of a "Creator" to non-religious people. Getting that out of the way, is there a third more reasonable explaination?

i.e. I snap my fingers and there are life beings, or I light a match and there are tiny planets orbiting around the match.

Will you people get off your literal high horse and learn to compromise? A much simplier way of saying God creater the world in seven days including a day of rest would be to say "he snapped his fingers" and there is not enough room to describe in detail the Big Bang theory so I compromised with "gases melding together" which it is in short. Some people...

This is a fair question which I think deserves an answer. Fortunately I think there is a good one. Perhaps this is the answer to existence and perhaps not. It does show however show that there are other possibilities that are more logical than gods. I only ask that before you simply dismiss it that you read the link posted below.
Personally I believe reality is ultimately mathematics (necessary logical truth) . It only looks like space and time because we see so little of it. Nothing is ever really created. The key here is a powerful selection effect (our existence ) which selects the portion of reality we find ourselves in. Only in very interesting portions (ones that appear as rapidly expanding space-time) of this vast infinite reality could we evolve.
Our understanding of reality is layered. You see the world in terms of large physical objects. But you are aware that those are illusions made up of atoms, and atoms in turn are made of smaller particles. Many believe that these so called "fundamental" particles are not fundamental but are built on a layer of mathematical objects called strings. My belief is that all reality including space-time itself is built upon mathematics and mathematics is what is truly fundamental.
The reason why we see top layers instead of lower layers is due to our inability to see all of the the details in the lower layers.
The reasons for my belief are way too involved to cover here so I will just post a link to something simple enough that you might understand it. I fear my actual reasons are likely to be well beyond your comprehension unless you have a very advanced gaduate physics background.

As mathematics ( necessary logical truth ) is fundamental and necessary it is not created. Existence simply equals necessary truth. Mathematics "just is" because it is necessary and tautologically simple ( Zero complexity ). But Mathematics does not create reality. Mathematics is reality.
The problem with the god hypothesis is the god needs to be more complex and hence more unlikely than the reality you are attempting to explain. Saying your god just is, still leaves a much bigger question than you had to begin with.

The vast majority of what we call "the universe" is empty space. It has been here all along. Matter/mass seems to have appeared at a point source around 13 3/4 billion years ago from which it is expanding in all directions. This is called the "big bang". "Echos" of this event have been seen since the late thirties and the dawn of radio astronomy. This after-glow is called the Casmic Bachground Radiation. Astronomers/Astro-physicists discovered that in every direction, they could detect minute amounts of electro-magnetic radiation in the microwave band. It is significantly red-shifted and the oldest "light" that we can see. Life is a complex self-replicating relationship between matter and energy. The best scientific answer is that life developed in an advantageous environment around 4 1/2 billion years ago and has evolved into its present form over time. The alternative theory of life involves magic and I won't go into it here.

You got the first story right, but your characterization of the big bang has bizarre elements that I don't recognize.
The Big Bang theory is not just some wild supposition by scientists. It is the inevitable result of observing the universe in motion today and projecting backward. Furthermore, the Big Bang has been observed. When we look at the cosmic background radiation, we are looking directly at the Big Bang at the moment of transparency (when energy condensed to stable particles).

Why do you say God "snapped His fingers?"
Jesus gave a neat insight ......
“My Father has kept working ......." John 5:17
God works.
It was a huge undertaking for Him to create the universe.
It took a whole lot more than simply snapping fingers.
Plus, He works at maintaining it.
You do realize, don't you, everything falls apart if not maintained.

Bingo. You asked a question that has no answer without some amount of faith applied.
God spoke it into being. No finger snap.

For mine own purpose have I made these things. Here is wisdom and it remaineth in me.
And by the word of my power, have I created them, which is mine Only Begotten Son, who is full of grace and truth.
And worlds without number have I created; and I also created them for mine own purpose; and by the Son I created them, which is mine Only Begotten.
But only an account of this earth, and the inhabitants thereof, give I unto you. For behold, there are many worlds that have passed away by the word of my power. And there are many that now stand, and innumerable are they unto man; but all things are numbered unto me, for they are mine and I know them.
The heavens, they are many, and they cannot be numbered unto man; but they are numbered unto me, for they are mine.
And as one earth shall pass away, and the heavens thereof even so shall another come; and there is no end to my works, neither to my words.
For behold, this is my work and my glory—to bring to pass the immortality and eternal elife of man.
