There is no realy "American culture". Everyone just borrowed off other cultures to somewhat for this one... Well, at least when you're somewhere fancy.
But, to answer your question, the things about "American" culture that drive me, not only crazy, but insane, are the following.
- Food that's not homemade almost all the time, or that's even plastic, and we don't know it.
- When people buy huge cars and it's only for them and maybe one other person, and they live in a suburban area, or in a big city, where it's not even needed.
- Lack of intelligence in some people. Seriously, when are some of you going to stop complaining about what you want, and don't need to survive? Do you even know the difference?
What drives me crazy, most, out of everything is...
-- THE PEOPLE! You know, how there are those moms that have their little girls dressing like little, miniature b****es? That always get some fake tan, get everything fake, and then they call themselves a mother of a child and leave their children at a daycare center for 12 hours? They barely have any manners and even at the age of 30, they're still acting like if they were 15!
All of these things drive me insane!!! I hate most people I know in real life because of that!
Believe it or not, the United States is not the best place to live.

1) Lies / misinformation used to sell products on TV. Or when they say stupid things like "to get this offer, you have to call in the next 5 minutes", even though they show the same commercial like 10 times a day.
2) The media giving their opinion on everything rather than just reporting the facts. What is even worse is when people believe whatever the media tells them instead of thinking about the issue themselves.
3) The fixation on celebrities' personal lives. I don't care what an actor/actress, athlete, musician, etc. does when they aren't doing their job.
4) People that run up a ton of debt instead of saving up money. I think we should teach kids how to save and invest money and to pay off credit card bills each month instead of going further and further into debt.

We're selfish and greedy. We get to a certain point in life and think that's what we're entitled to. I'm not with this whole American dream thing. It gives the sense that the world owes us a good life. We have the right to pursue happiness, but we have no sense of giving. If a person is truly happy, it shows and it spreads. Happiness doesn't come from money. Money is good, I'm not saying it's bad. It's just that we put more value on it than we do our fellow man.

Radio hosts who discuss and study politics 8 hours a day for a job are considered whacko's where as celebs that spend 10 hrs a day on a movie set are considered experts on foriegn policy and have more of an influence on peoples votes than the true experts.

Selfishness, and the way sex sells in America is part of the problem the country has with their families and their culture. I have seen that alot. I wish america could see that they're only hurting themselves by being this way.

In other countries if celebrities break the law, they are actually made to pay. It drives me nuts that American celebrities are allowed to get away with things so much.
Oh, and the way that these celebrities are often called 'famous'. - if anything they are infamous.
