Im so frustrated with christians sometimes. i hate to see all the so called "christians divided and not living the way the bible teaches" they go to church and praise the lord but go back home and live totally different. they don't teach their kids nothing dont influence them how to live right by GOD's word. They sin and they make mistakes and expect there kids to not do the same thing . parents have such a big influence on kids they dont' even know it. Also this different churches and different types of christians i just dont get it why cant we just all be christians followers of Jesus Christ. This groups are so different from eachother but yet they read the same book . This why christianity is so confusing to me.. I don't think that we show a good example to the people and other religions. I love Jesus and believe he is my saviour and I love GOD for everyday and eveything i have in life . but even i dont live the way the bible teaches im trying so hard though but i just dont see

The first thing you need to learn is that people arent' perfect. Learning to forgive the misgivings of others is part of loving God. The bible says many will come in my name ...not all that say they are Christians are true christians. Just try to see the good in people instead of seeing the negative.

You are doing the right thing. Stay in the Word of God and let God direct your life. Some people call themselves Christian and they've never read the Bible. They can't live a Godly life because they don't know what the will of God is for them. We need to stay in the Word of God and ask Christ to strengthen our faith and fill us with the Holy Spirit until we are overflowing. When we are overflowing then we witness to the unbelievers and take the gospel into the world. Sitting on the church pew is not what Jesus told us to do. We are to take the gospel to the world, the next door neighbor, the co-worker and even in the grocery store.

It is our sin nature that we fight. We war against the flesh. But one thing I know for sure, what the Holy Spirit starts in us the Holy Spirit is more than able to finish. It is the Holy Spirit who teaches us all things; who convicts us of sin and brings all things to mind when they are needed. The Holy Spirit comforts us and He purifies and refines us and prepares us. We come to Christ just as we are and the Lord gives us the Holy Spirit to work His good work in us. Trust the Holy Spirit and He'll have us ready to meet Jesus. We walk out our Salvation with fear and trembling. We want to please the Lord and that old sin nature will show up time and time again until it is all washed away by the blood of Jesus. I'm in process. Certainly not where I should be, but also not where I use to be. Just a working model for the Holy Spirit to purify and refine. Thank the Lord those sins are washed away as far as the east is from the west.

The thing you must understand is that most who "claim" to be Christian, are not. Paul wrote concerning the last days of this wicked system of things in 2 Tim. 3:1-7 many things we see now. In verse 5 he says, "having a FORM of godly devotion, but proving false to it's power; and from these turn away."

The 5th chapter of Ephesians lays out how true Christians should behave and do. The 3rd chapter of 1 Timothy describes the qualifications for elders and ministerial servants within the congregation. It is what we should all use as a guide for our lives. This is what true Christians now do.

As found in James 1:22, we should "become doers of the word, not hearers only." That is why we are so different from those only taking the name, not the work or the life of true Christians.

To be successful in living as a true Christian, you need to associate with true Christians and to learn what truths the Bible really says. The answers will surprise you. After a basic study though, you will be able to KNOW and explain to anyone what the Bible really teaches. Of course, as humans, we will never be perfect in this old system anyway. Only Jesus was perfect all the time. Fortunately, God grades on a curve, knowing we are imperfect.

We all eat different food and go different ways but if we live in the same house we eat at the same table. That table is Christianity and the direction of the Father, Son (Jesus) and the Holy Spirit. Jesus came for the sinner, the weak, the down trodden and the confused. Historically Old Testament is read and interpreted and the New Testament is the coming of Jesus to correct us to love and forgiveness and he did that for us. So people not living the cross's way are what he came for and sometime they are bad examples but he loves them too and he will work it out with them on their last day on Earth. So to all that believe know you are not loved more but you have better direction than some of the lost. Be that image of a loving Jesus and live it. But if you fail and stumble time after time, know Jesus came to pick you up.

Ghandi made an interesting statement similar to yours. He said that if Christians actually lived their faith, he would become a Christian.

We as Christians are sinners. We are subject to all the sins of mankind. We get stubborn and sometimes become more focused on what divides us than on what we have in common. While many Christians teach their children faith issues many others either neglect that education or fail to make it a part of the child's everyday experience. You are correct in all of these things.

I can't speak for the Muslim faith and why there are not more conversions there. We do know from our experience in Iraq that converting to another faith is forbidden. In many Muslim countries they don't allow churches to reach out. The person who converts is either killed or disowned by family and community. That makes it more difficult to leave the faith even if that is what you want.

As for Christianity, I know of no other religion that makes sense to me personally. I have seen the sin in my life and my struggle with it. I know that my old life was unworthy and that I deserve whatever punishment God gives. But I am caught by his wondrous love. A God who loves me so deeply that he is willing to die for my sins is amazing. It is a love unlike any other I have experienced. For this reason I could never be anything other than a Christian. God has freed me from my sin and offered me the strength of his Holy Spirit to change my life. What a wonderful God I serve.

Divide and conquer. Isn't that the best battle plan? Once Satan figured out he couldn't totally snuff out Christianity, he chose another tactic. Divide and conquer. His plan really went full throttle when the Reformation happened. He's been doing it every since. So, hold fast to that which you know is true. Be obedient to God. And certainly do not follow Islam. At it's very heart, it is a religion of domination and not of love. You seem to know who God is. Take your eyes off of man. Stop looking at man. You need to keep your eyes on God and on who He is. Don't look to the right or to the left. Look steadfastly on Him. People will always disappoint. Satan uses that to divide and conquer. And the lethargic American church has allowed it to happen. Don't look at what's going on in the world. Keep your eyes steadfastly focused on Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Nothing more. Nothing less. Always.

Just because you have accepted Jesus has your Lord and Savior does not mean you are perfect. That is why it is called a new birth and than you GROW. We are all works in progress. So use your frustration on strengthening your own relationship with God and God will continue to help you grow to new levels of understanding and tolerance of others. Thank God for Jesus.

You have made a common mistake.
You assume Christendom is Christianity.
Not true.
Christendom is the worst representative Christianity could ever have.
Do not look to Christendom for anything good, or worthwhile.
Christianity however .....straight, clean and simple!
Where can one find Christianity?
Jesus said:
"Broad and spacious is the road leading off into destruction, and MANY are the ones going in through it. Whereas narrow is the gate and cramped the road leading off into life, and FEW are the ones finding it." Matthew 7:13
Don't look to the large, established religions.
Look for a smaller group that don't believe the common lies of hell-fire, trinity, or immortal soul.

No! you are wrong. Most have the book but don't read it, They have been mis-led thinking that they don't hurt anyone by being just good once a week then all is OK!
Right now there is a separating work going on as Jesus said separating the sheep from the goats? The important thing for you is ask questions and test what you think you know and ask your creator in prayer for help. If you like ask a question and see if get a satisfying answer. gemhandy@gmail.com

I find Islam as I have experienced it and read about it to be much inferior to Christianity as shown by Christ.

GK Chesterton said ,when confronted by someone who claimed that Christianity had been tried and found wanting, that Christianity has been tried and has been found to be difficult, therefore, many do not try it at all.

We should not let the mispractice and non-practice of Christianity by bad ,lazy, twisted or unloving people who profess to be Christians discourage us or drive us away form Jesus. Get closer to Jesus and you will find like-minded and loving Christians who are living by grace the struggle to be faithful to Jesus and His goodness.

Islam is much divided and often violently divided and an authentic practice of Islam seems rarer than authentic practice of Christianity.
