Well, riding a bus is usually not a lifelong thing. It is a pretty short ride. Some are a few minutes and some will last days but there will be many buses in your lifetime. Also, you almost always share them with other people, both men and women and they are controlled by someone other than you.
Are you sure you are using an analogy that you are comfortable with?

If only men were treated like buses by men.
Then a woman would pay attention to the route he is already following and not try and change it.

Just wait till another comes by I guess, it might depend how far and where you want to go of course... or just try a new hairdo, what about an original braided pigtail, that would set you apart and get you noticed (maybe in 1957 anyway).

Check their availibility online. Find the one that is most convenient for you to catch (preferably nearby). Remember, it's better to have more money than not enough...and most importantly you might have to do a little bit of chasing :-P

When you see one, hop on.
Rachel, I can't believe you have trouble finding a good man. Maybe you should leave Michigan.

Or maybe you have a specific man in mind. If that is the case, find a mutual friend that can put you in a social situation with him. Preferably not at a bar but somewhere that you and he could have a longer conversation. A cook-out for example. And then just see what happens. But if it has to be a bar, that can work to.

I've always thought of men like catching a cold...you'll get one eventually.

The real question after you catch one is..... how do you know that you caught the right bus?

wait until one is coming by then raise you hand in the air and stick out your leg - make sure you show skin at least to the knee - you'll catch at least one

Same way--stand on a street corner and wait, LOL. Of course, you'll likely get the same result. You'll get picked up by one who smells, rarely works and doesn't care about your comfort, but you'll catch one.
