There is no such thing as ghost. There are misinterpretations, paranoia, and fakery. I have had people come into my house and go on and on and on about the "spirits" who live here. I think they only do it because it is an old farmhouse. I have lived here for years. Never saw a thing. Never felt creepy. And I only feel cold spots in the winter because this place is DRAFTY.
If you want to live in fear, that is your choice. It really doesn't seem to be a productive use of your time. As for help from a university, just because people are educated doesn't make them smart.

What is your question? Why are people such asses? I don't know. Or are you asking why people who don't believe in ghosts say 'there are no such things as ghosts because I haven't seen one' but they believe in God even though they haven't seen him? Well it depends on the individual's religion. In my religion it says that after you die judgement day happens and God sends you to heaven or hell, nowhere does it say that you hang around in the form of a ghost wondering the Earth. Personally, I think God exists more than ghosts. Just my opinion.

Unfortunately because there aren't any ancient mistranslated books that say there are ghosts.
Well... okay, there are, but people have been raised to treat them as fairytales while they take their own fairytales as truth.
It's funny all considered... the bible speaks of unicorns as real animals and considers talking donkeys to be fine. Yet christians believe this foolishness but not ghosts? I have to say there is a lot more going for ghosts than any of the religious stuff...
It may be due to the narrow mindedness that religion necessarily fosters.
So you say you had a camera crew over to film some ghosts and this will be aired? What channel will this be on?

I'm skeptical about all things I can't see or prove.
I think the reason is people believe that god acts through them and shows evidence of himself/herself ... but ghosts aren't the same, to them.

Unless you have actually experienced seeing a ghost you're apt not to believe it. God is a different story as most people take him on faith.

I suspect the same people who do not believe in ghosts, also do not believe in god. They are both fairy-tales made up by primitive superstitious people.

I believe in spirits, and have seen acts by them. I believe I saw the image of one once.
