What do you make of this?

"It wasn't until the Ottoman Empire that the crescent moon and star became affiliated with the Muslim world. When the Turks conquered Constantinople (Istanbul) in 1453, they adopted the city's existing flag and symbol. Legend holds that the founder of the Ottoman Empire, Osman, had a dream in which the crescent moon stretched from one end of the earth to the other. Taking this as a good omen, he chose to keep the crescent and make it the symbol of his dynasty. There is speculation that the five points on the star represent the five pillars of Islam, but this is pure conjecture. The five points were not standard on the Ottoman flags, and as you will see on the following page, it is still not standard on flags used in the Muslim world today.

For hundreds of years, the Ottoman Empire ruled over the Muslim world.

I realize it says in the Book of Matthew go into the world and make disciples of every man. But what if your gifting is not evangelism but rather mercy and encouragement? What are ways to share the gospel and bless people having these gifts?

My husband and I love the Lord and we want to bless and glorify God but what are most effective ways to share the gospel with the giftings we have?

Thank you for your answers and God bless you.

I have found an amazing christian guy. I love his devotion to Our Lord and the blessed mother. Spiritually he is everything I would want. But he barely knows I exist. We were friends separated a long time ago. A friend's wedding just crossed our paths again. I'm 18, he's 20.
The only problem is that he is very exroverted, and I'm kind of shy at first.
I need advise! Should I try to get to know him better and risk falling flat on my face? Or should I just accept that he doesn't pay much attention to me, and forget about him?

How do we have Caucasians, Africans, Indians, American Indians, Chinese, Japanese, ect...?

There is no way a male and female Jew (I am assuming, since Jesus is claimed to be of the line of David/Adam~Jewish) would ever have produced a myriad of races.

For example, exposure to the sun for Caucasian people only produces a tan, it does not change them to Chinese!

I posted this question as many Christian apologetics try to excuse away the Genesis story by saying silly un-scientific statements such as Adam and Eve were really both "brown", or that they could have produced non-Caucasian offspring.

If Adam and Eve were of Japanese origin, we would all be...Japanese!

Please explain how we all got here, Mr. Preacher man or woman.

By the way, I am not a racist, and have dated asian and black ladies (I am a "white guy"). So please keep the nazi remarks off of here!

I have seen things for my entire life. I only knew they were dead people when I got older and people didnt know what I was talking about when I told them about seeing someone. I know they were ghosts. Never cared about others opinions. Until I was reminising about a cousin of mine whom was hit by a car and killed, at age 6. My grandmother was furious at me for talking of playing with her in her playhouse. I later found out she died almost 7 years before I was born. Years later I talked to my grandmother about it again. And told her id tell in detail and she could make her own assumption, but I was being honest. I told her about her hair style and her big brown eyes, he dress and her doll. My grandmother wheeped the whole time I spoke. I had discribed her favorite dress and the dolly she never was without. She told me she believed me, but she has never spoken of it again, and ignores me when its brought up. I'm sure because it was painful. But what is so hard to believe about the idea?

How can you say that your church is true when in the Bible we are warned of false prophets coming in the last days. And the Bible says not to add or take away anything from it, isn't the book of Mormon adding? And doesn't your Bible take away certain things?

I'm not trying to make an augment ... I just want to hear Mormon's side of this.

I'm a Christian, and I often see the term "cult" used to offend people. In the days of Noah, we were less than a cult, and right after Jesus left, we were a cult.

If you have ever been to a Christian wedding, you know that marriage is a big deal. You have the priest or minister standing with the couple reading from the Bible and praying. The ceremony takes place in a church -- the house of God. Dozens or hundreds of witnesses are on hand. In front of God, a representative of God and all of these witnesses, a couple declares that they will wed "til death do us part."

The Christian faith also puts a very, very large stigma on divorce. For example, in Matthew 5:32 Jesus says:

But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery.
In Matthew 19:9, Jesus repeats that sentiment:
I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, and marries another woman commits adultery
Adultery is a major problem in the Christian faith. First, one of the commandments in the Ten Commandments specifically forbids
