Do you mean Catholic or Protestant Christians. There is a big difference. The Pope last week took responsibility for the Crusades when he said they were the only church.

What is often forgotten in the idea of anti-semitism was the fact that the Jews did two things in Church history. The Jews persecuted the infant church (read your New Testament) and wherever the Jews went they totally disregarded the Catholic Churches laws. You may say, well they weren't catholics. But the society was. They were very disruptive to Christian society and thats why in the beginning about 300 they were separated. If you read a book called, "They Myth of Hitler's Pope" by Rabbi Dalin you will find out that it was the Popes that were the Jews greatest protectors. The Christians aren't all to blame here, the Jews created some of their own troubles too. For some reason we have gotten in the mode of thinking that the Jews are always innocent. No group in history is totally innocent.

You can continue to curse the Jews, and you and your family will be cursed by God, in return.
Or, you can choose to bless the Jews, and you and your family will be blessed by God, in return.

The government of Britain was not Christian - so the error you wrote above is a big one. The Catholic church had some clout back in those times so maybe you are thinking of them.
They are not and never were Christian.

My best guess would be because the Brits of the time didn't like Jews?
I guess that puts the lie to the whole "Holy blood, holy grail" nonsense. Obviously, the descendents of Jesus, who were supposed to be "royalty", would not be too worried about the Jews....
