I agree - this is common with pre-teens & teenagers. Some people believe there are different "levels" of hetero/homosexuality. (The Kinsey Scale)
The emotional feelings you have for men - is it anything beyond good friendship? In not having emotional connections with women, maybe you've just not met the right ones?
My experience says take things slow, let your heart lead you to the right place. It may take some "experimenting" to know who you really are, and that's OK. I'd just say be honest with any potential "dates" so there's less chance of confusion or hurt feelings.
Good luck - it's a hard journey sometimes, but the more you learn about yourself the happier you'll be in the end.

Most of the people aren't helping...
I think you could be a lesbian, but perhaps you haven't met a woman who you felt emotionally connected to. If you don't have any sexual desire of men, I wouldn't think you were 100% straight.
You could certainly be bi-sexual or just plain confused. I would try and get to know some women and maybe you'll start to see emotional attatchments.

I once felt the exact same way, until I met other female intellectual equals. It's a matter of meeting the right person. And if you're unsure of yourself and your own personality, sometimes it can be confusing. If you're not sexually attracted to men, don't try to make a relationship work when you wouldn't feel comofrtable, it isn't worth it. If you're sexually attracted to women, just create great friendships with men instead. An emotional bond doesn't have to lead to sex unless you want it to.

I was the same way until I began meeting other lesbian girls who I could feel emotionally connected with. It's a matter of finding someone who you feel comfortable enough with to have feelings for. I consider myself a lesbian, but I wouldn't worry about putting a label on your sexuality. Just explore, and the label will write itself.

It could depend on a lot of factors. If you've had a negative experience with men, or a total lack of experience, you may not trust them or feel comfortable with them. Similarly, you may feel that being sexually attracted to women is wrong, and you can never get emotionally close.
I think you should just try to avoid a label for now, and accept that you are open to opportunities and all different types of people that come your way.

Wow, sounds like your a man. If your truly a lesbian you would have both sexual and emotional feelings for women. I'm not sure what you would call that. Face it, your a freak of nature. Accept it and move on. Hope this helped, have a nice day.

The first thing you need to understand is that feelings are not a good barometer of anything. They fluctuate all the time and are the most unstable thing on earth. Never trust to feelings alone.
Secondly Women are meant to be with men and vice-versa.
Anything else is unnatural and goes against the plan of God for human beings and sexuality.
Finally, Your confusion comes from the devil who is real and wants your soul to be with him in torment forever. Turn to the Word of God ( the Bible ) for your answers and ask God to show you what is right and what is wrong. He will read your heart, and if you are sincere He will deliver you from any lies Satan has sewed in your heart and mind and emotions.
EDIT: DON'T LET THE THUMBS DOWN GET TO YOU! THE MAJORITY IS NOT ALWAYS RIGHT. GOD + ONE IS A MAJORITY THAT WILL NEVER GO WRONG.

ummm...how comes if you don't have emotional feelings towards women but could have had sexual feelings towards them?....this's weird...meaning if you don't like girls how comes you could have sexual feelings towards them?...this is a question you need to ask of yourself....normally we need to have had feelings towards somebody in order to have had sexual desires to them....is that correct?....ummm, maybe, just maybe, you're being subject to some kinda of implants into your mind, both of emotional and sexual feelings....don't you believe this?...it's called mind control programming....

You are on the verge. I foresee you marrying a male and even having kids but you will be inclined to have sexual interludes with females.
