and the earth shook, and the rocks split. the tombs were opened,and many bodies of the saints, who had fallen asleep were raised, and coming out of their tombs after his resurrection and the went into the holy city
and appeared to many. Now tell me Jehovah Witness if Jesus rose the dead, why do you continue to say they are still dead. Are you calling our Lord and God Jesus Christ a liar? Can you answer me.

Because I have faith in my fellow people and when I catch a crowded train to work in the morning, even though everyone around me are strangers, I believe that none of them will suddenly go on a homicidal rampage even though it is possible. These two examples are perceivable concepts and to me, are the correct use of the words ‘faith’ and ‘believe’.

But when a Christian says that that have faith in Jesus and they believe in heaven, these are concepts that can only be imagined, not perceived. So it would be more correct by saying, “I have deluded myself into thinking there is a heaven and that Jesus is there waiting for me,” would it not?

Homosexuality is often referred to as a "lifestyle." But it's not a lifestyle, because there are all kinds of gay people living all kinds of lifestyles. A "lifestyle" is a specific way of living as in an "active" lifestyle. Gay people are constantly devalued in conversation, even to the point where our existence is reduced to a mere "lifestyle."

Theres this certain individual that I know who has the most "EVIL" sounding laugh. And he always does it when he is mocking certain people. I pointed this very thing out to my pastor. But I pastor just kinda ignored me and gave me the "you cannot pay attention to people speech". Well, we cannot ignore behavior that can literally destroy an entire church! And when people go around trying to cast demons out of the unpossesed. IT CAN BE A SERIOUS PROBLEM!!!! It seems like this man thinks that alot of people are "possesed" with devils when they are not! I think that Its this man who actually has the problem! I know possesion can happen! But it does not happen to everyone!

I don't care what religion you are, you have no right to hate someone because they are Christian, Athiest, Pagan, Jewish, or any other religion. I know some people of every religion can be cruel--I see Christians flaming and Athiests asking mean questions all the time on Y!A. Those people then ask why the other group hates them so much--wouldn't you be mad when everyone you meet of a certain belief was mean to you? It's because a lot of people on here seem to think they need to ask cruel questions and answer honest questions in a rude way. And then people generalize--I'm so tired of being told that I'm a horrible person because I don't believe in whatever god you believe in, and that I must be like every other jerk of my belief. I am happy with my life, and I wish everyone else here would be too. So stop generalizing and lumping everyone together when you ask a question--we are not all alike, there are good and bad people in every religion.

Anyone?

i went to church today n my speaker mentioned somewhere where u can't talk about Jesus or they'll shoot u or decapitate u.i think she said something about 1410 i don'r remember.She said it was around China n Russia.If i have negative things to say then don't bother wastin urs n my time.

I am not sure why but I find people confide in me and tell me very personal things about themselves when I first meet them.

I am a christian and I love people I find this very off guard when people tell me things so personal when we have only known eachother a short time?

Why do people open up so freely to me like I said before when I have only known them a short amount of time?

What would be the Christ like thing to do in these situations?

I have a new landlord who is wonderful and friendly (thank goodness, the last one was just awful). I was about to move out and then I got this great landlord who fixed the place up. (I said I would stay if the place was fixed up and I named a few things that needed desperately to be done). That was awesome and she seemed happy to have a tenant in the place (single mom's aren't known to party, lol). Since than I have needed a new wash machine and a plumber (which I asked one to come quickly as my son was getting burnt from our kitchen tap not working properly). I have also asked for another minor thing to be fixed. She has only been my landlord a month and I am self concious about this all. Am I coming across as demanding to a new landlord. Because today she came by and I was busy. My daugher said I sounded mad (I wasn't , just busy and hot). Now I feel bad. Did I seem mad to my new landlord on top of demanding??? Or am I just being insecure because my last landlord was awful?

It just occurred to me that I am not a child of god. God created his children in his image. I have given up thinking I am a child of god. Im not his child, I was food for his children. I pray to a new savior now and this is him.

sorry but Im pretty sure that going to church is supposed to be a positive experience where you come out with more life rather than less. and it seems like a lot of gospel churches do the opposite. the choir is very energetic and the preacher doesnt have a monotenous voice either. however i dont feel like converting unless absolutely necessary and just want to know if there are any more interesting catholic churches. if theyre all this boring then i probably just wont ever go period.

so yeah, are they ALL this boring or just SOME?
