I don't care what religion you are, you have no right to hate someone because they are Christian, Athiest, Pagan, Jewish, or any other religion. I know some people of every religion can be cruel--I see Christians flaming and Athiests asking mean questions all the time on Y!A. Those people then ask why the other group hates them so much--wouldn't you be mad when everyone you meet of a certain belief was mean to you? It's because a lot of people on here seem to think they need to ask cruel questions and answer honest questions in a rude way. And then people generalize--I'm so tired of being told that I'm a horrible person because I don't believe in whatever god you believe in, and that I must be like every other jerk of my belief. I am happy with my life, and I wish everyone else here would be too. So stop generalizing and lumping everyone together when you ask a question--we are not all alike, there are good and bad people in every religion.
Anyone?

Ed--is it wrong for me to ask people to stop generalizing? All I want is to not be lumped with every other person of my belief. I'm not like every person that doesn't believe in a god. All of us are different. Some can be nice, and others can be jerks...

And about the question's name, I had to put something to get attention to this and I think it worked. When you put up one religion's name, all the people of that religion and against that religion will come together to see what it's about, and fight if need be.

I agree, we all need to learn a little tolerance...I'm not the type of person that dislikes "groups" of people...I judge everyone individually. But you know sometimes certain groups of people like to attack other groups of people...and it's only right to defend yourself...but anyway...yes tolerance is what we need in this world. People need to agree to disagree and not push their beliefs on anyone.

Yes you are right, there are good and bad people in all religions. The scriptures tell us man's heart is evil and desperately wicked. It is only the love of Christ that can change us. We are not to hate anyone, I am no better that you and you no better than me. What is important is how we stand before God our creator. He knows we are all sinners and that is why He sent Christ to die for our sins that we might have eternal life. I'm afraid we will never see peace until Christ returns to set up His millennial reign. Hang in there and do the best you can.

It's good if you can clear it up for everyone, then everyone can ask good questions, and others can answer in like kind.
Some people have a right to hate, or at least they think so. Some have legitamate gripes.
That doesn't mean that it's right to hate.
All are just trying to find some understanding, in their own way.

My Jesus Christ. I call him my coz I love him so much, but my Jesus loves everybody, but by not believing in him you can't love him. Heres the question I pose, show me the loving power of GOD in any other religion. You can look in history and as bad as some people hate to say it ,you can't disprove God and his Son. I love everybody but i wish the Jesus haters and unbelievers would open there eyes. I have seen many prayers answered by God so I know hes real. My God saves, heals, delivers us from evil, cast out evil spirits, and raises people from the dead just to name a few I'll go with the true God

I agree, the thing is I don't understand why you're getting so upset and taking it personal?
People on Y!A need to be a little more mature, not take things personally and make a decision that it's pointless and a wast of energy to choose to get upset and of course the biggest thing which I find here is judgement.
We need to stop judging people.

Think of having a heart that is courageous and is not brought down by others' opinions.
It only matters' what the Creator says' about you, and He made you and loved you before you were aware of it.
Everything happens' for a reason-
let that plan He has for you be realized, by turning all of who you are to the one who knows' you because He made you and come just as you are to Him.
Anything that happens' is from fallen man in a fallen world that Christ has appeared into; to Stretch out His arms, in Love, and die for.
The Lord is Pure Love and anybody who is filled with this spirit of Love, the Holy Spirit, treats' others as they themselves would want to be treated, and the Lord said to treat them better than yourself. Because they are lost and we have the Light, where there was formerly ignorance or Darkness of the Spiritual purpose He intended us to express.
As we read His Living Word, the Light also to our inner soul; that changes' you from the inside out.
People regard others in the same way as they esteem the ways of the Lord and regard the Lord.
Judging God-We judge.
Loving God- We love.
Aloof God- Murder people.
Works-based God- everybody must work to get His approval.
By their actions you will know them, whether their life has truly been transformed into the image of Christ or not.
Hate the Trespass, do acts of Love (His kind of Love) to the person. Act loving- and the feelings will come later. Be mature in the Lord's ways, because if you are standing still, you are going backwards in your spiritual walk.
Forgive or you will not be forgiven. God forgave you, so how can you say they can't be forgiven?
We deserve the wrath of God for rejecting His gentle, quiet Spirit that draws' us to Him - and to be left to our own devices, to go on and complete the destruction of our soul and follow Satan to where he will always be, when we reject so great a Salvation. But the Lord came to change the World.
Also, Christians show Love to each other, which sets' us apart and other people have our compassion, which is the Compassion of Jesus, which gets' our prayers answered, in fact.
They are a slave to Satan, and can't be the way that the Lord require's of us until the Holy Spirit comes upon the scene and helps' us to respond; and then when we do answer Him, we realize that He has forgiven us. He comes' to live His Life through us by being in us from now on, and we become His, bought with a great price.
He will now make us able to do what He require's which is Obey.
Obey without fear, as He loves' us and we now know it and just get more and more joy in knowing what He is about and what He has planned, thanking Him.
This makes' us so humble that He has regarded the state of man, so human and weak, and He loved us when we were His enemy, and died, taking punishment for our ways that are unholy.
Now that we have repented of the life lived without God, we respond like a dead person to those desires, and wake up to the Resurrection Power.
This power raised Jesus from the dead, so it can make you a new person.
This is now available to the Spirit-led person to live a whole, complete, (joyful in the midst of circumstances of Life), fulfilled life, one that is not selfish but outward-thinking and involved in the greater Kingdom plan.
This reason we are all here, is to make a choice to be bought back from Satan- when the Lord talks' to us and asks' us, individually, to be His adopted sons and daughters into His family.
We are then to get everybody to heaven, praying only that the Holy Spirit persuade that person, and live a changed Life before their eyes, so that they will want to know our Lord.
That is The Church-- Followers of The Way, the first name distinction of early Christians.
Christ in us, the hope of Glory.

I'd go with keeping my life to be honest. I have no religion so mouthing a few meaningless words for a few hours each week is worth living. Ideally my continued life would allow me to fight against the oppressors and free not only myself but others from their tyranny. If I die it is all over. If I live each new moment presents more choices. Even Christians can act in the false religion and beg forgiveness from their god - they are not commanded to die for their belief, they just follow the example of the early Christians. Your beliefs (or lack thereof) are your own and no one can force you to change them. They can force you to act in a manner inconsistent with your beliefs but that is trivial. Going to church does not mean god(s) exists or that I believe in him/her/them. [EDIT: The more people willing to die for their beliefs, the easier it is for the other side to win. The idea is to live for your beliefs....]

I completely agree with you. Sadly, some people will hate others even if they have done nothing wrong. Just like anywhere in the world, there are good and bad people in this country. The best thing anyone can do is to try to be nice to everyone. I am sick of a lot of people who are just downright mean. It's not right to be mean to people.

Agreed!
I get tired of seeing questions like, "Why are Atheists so...", or "Why do Christians act this way?", etc...
We need to stop treating each other as "groups" and START treating each other as individuals.
Nice thoughts, star for you!

A good scholar or investigator must ask more than just the nice questions if they want to learn something, and those who answer do so freely.
