it's logical to have faith the sun will rise in the morning - using reliable data to extrapolate a likely end result.
if your spouse or a friend unfailingly fulfills their commitments, it's logical to have faith they will continue to do so (unless you learn their lives are going through an unusual type of disruption - then you amend that belief).
faith based upon logic means conclusions based upon observable reality. faith based upon the unobservable is purely speculative.

First you have to understand that there are things that are illogical, logical and the last one is what I call super logic.
Illogical is the worst form of thinking. It has no base at all in reasoning. Logical is when you use your palm size brain to process information and think. There is yet left another one what I call super logic. It is actually logical thing but since it's high above/beyond our logic it would look "not logical" (yet it's not illogical either). It just look so because our mind and palm size brain can't comprehend it though it might understand the concept .
For example, when you think about the word "eternity" , you may understand the word but would not be able to comprehend it as you have never seen anything on earth which is everlasting.
Every single thing that you can see and touch , any thing material in nature will someday rot, decay, die and perish but things that can not be seen such as spirit, love and faith is eternal.
So faith is not illogical but is super logical. It's above or beyond logic.
It's like when you try explain to a blind man the color red or to the deaf the sound of thunder. No matter how hard you try to explain it to them, they will never understand it because it is beyond their ability to perceive.
The same is with faith. Faith may look illogical but it's actually a super logic.
By faith, Abraham was willing to sacrifice Isaac, his only son just because God asked him to. To the world, it would look illogical. Why would he want to do that ? but to Abraham, since he is thinking with super logic. He knows that even if he kills his son, God is able to raise him back to life again. This is faith. It's not illogical but super logic as he knows that nothing is impossible with God.
I hope you understand what I am trying to convey.

Faith is believing in something. If you throw a rock up into the air, you have faith that it is going to come back down, especially if you are watching it. That is also a logical conclusion. If you walk through a door and swing the door to close it, but never look back, you have faith that it is going to continue to swing shut and latch. But your faith isn't as strong as in the rock example. If you have Faith that Jesus Christ is the son of God and that by believing in him your sins are redeemed, then God will make himself known to you and your raw faith will be bolstered by witnessing God's miraculous ways in action. As you grow in Faith over time, it will make perfectly logical sense to you, even though you will never understand it in this life.

Socrates said that we can't know anything. if you were to be honest you might find that a great deal of decision making, and life living is based only on faith. Now there is a difference between reasonable faith and pure faith, but I think that if I were to tell you what I think to be reasonable faith about 'faiths' you would find it not agreeable to your taste buds.

If faith works for a person, then it's logical for them to continue in it.

Those who have faith in themselves have much better chances for success in whatever they pursue. One pursues things in life like an career or a partner or the top of Everest because he/she believes they have a chance of achieving their goal. I have faith in myself and logically I would be nowhere without it.

If the invisible God has proven Himself as a God of integrity--if He has shown that His promises cannot be broken due to His absolute power and authority to bring them to pass--then stepping out in faith toward God according to the Bible's instruction is based on a logical foundation. History has validated that God is trustworthy, so to believe His promise when we cannot see Him or know what exactly He will do is not blindness, but trust based on past indicators.
You don't know for sure that the stock you buy will go up, but you still rely on past indicators or on present conditions. Your faith in that stock is not a blind leap, but based on a foundation of research.
One difference: stocks can eventually fail you, but God never will.

The gap between any two propositions of a linear syllogism is traversed only by faith. Chew on that for a while and see if it makes sense.

From dictionary.com...
Faith: "belief that is not based on proof"
Therefore, faith is the opposite of logic, and nothing can be logical about faith.
I don't mean this in a disrespectful way, I believe that faith in something bigger is very important.

Faith mostly is related when they speak about God. The reason is we do not see God by natural eyes, but we put our trust in Him. When we pray to God for something, we wait for Him to answer us by faith(what is not seen, but beleiving). When a person recieves the answer when he has genuinely prayed to God for good things and not bad, and when God answers him, they will know that God is there and He will answer. So faith in Him grows.
Here are few verses which Jesus told to people,
When Jesus saw their faith, he said, "Friend, your sins are forgiven." Lu 5:20
Jesus said to the woman, "Your faith has saved you; go in peace." Lu 7:50
Then he said to her, "Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peace."Lu 8:48
I tell you the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do what I have been doing. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. Joh 14:12
Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word of Christ. Ro 10:17
This verse tells that, when we hear the message, faith comes. So its nice to hear the pastors, evalgelists, teachers, prophets and apostles who love God and obey Him.
