Love yahoo, you're a brainwashed newly converted sheep that knows nothing about the history of their church.

Good Lord! Look at all the postive "Yes" responses!

Oh please, please do not elect anyone to the White House who shares those sentiments!

This could have been an interesting and informative discussion, but then you had to go and ruin it by saying, "you're a brainwashed newly converted sheep that knows nothing about the history of their church."

If changing ones' place of residence at the request of ones' church constitutes brainwashing, then wouldn't this also apply to the children of Israel in the Bible who moved to the promised land as well as the remnant of Judah who returned from Assyria to rebuild Jerusalem? Even Jesus said, "Whosoever is not willing to leave father and mother for my name's sake, the same is not worthy of the Kingdom."

YES! But then again...if we are all brainwashed...we would all go without question...If I'm brainwashed then so was every one of my ancestors INCLUDING the ones who were with Brigham Young when he pulled himself up in the back of a wagon (sick as a dog) and said, "This is the place" 160 years ago. WOW!!! That's a lotta brainwashing!

I do not consider myself a self centered, selfishly minded person. I find joy and happiness in this life by serving and helping the world becoem a better place. That's where true happiness lies.

I live by faith. It is what defines me. And asked to do most anything, I would find the faith necessary to be odedient. I am confident that I could do whatever I am asked to do. It would not really be a scarfice either, if I felt that I was pleasing God.

I guess I would -- however the likely hood of ALL the members being asked to move to a different location is not high.

The early church when there were few members -- it could be done.

But it is more likely that Mormons will have a presence in every nation of the world -- not just Missouri

It may not be on the mountain height
Or over the stormy sea,
It may not be at the battle’s front
My Lord will have need of me.
But if, by a still, small voice he calls
To paths that I do not know,
I’ll answer, dear Lord, with my hand in thine:
I’ll go where you want me to go.
(“I’ll Go Where You Want Me to Go,” Hymns, no. 270)

If the leadership in the church called me to move, I would.

If you refer to the "church" as the Prophet, then YES! I would go in a heartbeat! (I am ok with being brainwashed!) :)

I can see it now, the inspired leadership of the church leading all the faithful to Missouri, and then after this move turns into quite the fiasco and major embarrassment, the people go Oops! It was all opinion to move, not God asking us too, we still have faith in our inspired wise leaders.
