I don't mean for this to be of any offense at all, but why do blacks feel that it is ok to talk about how whites are "crackers", "Whitey" or "Vailla face", but white people saying the N Word is offensive?

I have heard Vanilla face- which sounds yummy- all those sound fine to me. Craker- is a food adn Whitey- that is the color- white means pure. Not really insults to me. The N word has a really bad historical reference.

Double standard.
Probably because they think White people owe it to them to put up with their behavior, and in fact, because many "politically correct" white people allow it to be this way.
Racism against white people has become accepted among society, just look at most Hollywood movies.
The white guy is almost always either portrayed as a "racist redneck bigot", a power hungry villain, or a clumsy, goofy, push-over, while the black guy is made out to be a "helpless victim", or the noble "hero" who saves people from their "whiteness" by teaching them the "hip-hop" culture.
This sends out the message that being, and acting white is "uncool", which is one reason why it is now acceptable to say such things about white people.
Those who are independent thinkers will try to combat these racist stereotypes, while those who I call "lemmings', better known as the "politically correct", will try to fall right into the stereotypical image.
Blacks seem to have the crazy notion that we "owe" them something, and that they should be able to get away with whatever they want.
I wonder if they ever consider where they might be, if we had left them in the lawless, un-civil, famished, and disease infested continent of Africa, instead of giving them a chance at a decent civilization here in America.

Put yourself in the place of a black person and see how you would feel? Blacks from the time of their birth go thru racism and bad attitudes, just because of their skin color. A baby born black will get different treatment that a white baby. Seems white is preffered over black even among black and brown people. So, be kind and careing to one another.

my co-workers and i were just talking about that the other day. when colored people talk to each other they use the n word all the time, but let a white person say that and see what happens. i don't why they get offensive they weren't born around the time of slavery. besides its just an ignorant person. you can be a ****** no matter what color or race you are.

Maybe they use those words in retaliation for the racism that whites have used on blacks in America for years ..slavery and all too recently segregation...look at the case with the football player proposing to his white girlfriend...be honest with yourself ...if someone insulted you you would toss back a name or two yourself ...we all do it ...get over it !

Probably because the "N' word was used for a very very long time to demoralized the black race.

This is unlike white people in general where crackers, etc. has no long standing history associated with demoralizing the white race.

I think this type of behavior, or way of thinking, is a general one that is not limited to racial matters. The idea is: I can say anything about you I want to, but you cannot do the same about me. Another manifestation might be, I can call my own people whatever I want to, but you, being not among my people, may not.

Most blacks I know don't use those words, and they're the majority where I live.

Because black people will always think and act like the whole world owes them for slavery.
