Have you ever had an experience (either edifying or frightening) which you *would* have interpreted as a spiritual occurrence had you been inclined to believe that spiritual occurrences are possible. This could include--just to name a few hypothetical examples--periods of paranoia (especially at night, or in a large empty building), or euphoria, or a sense of some invisible thing outside of yourself trying to interact with you. Any other experiences you can think of would of course be welcome.

Why didn't he intercede on the behalf of those little boys getting raped and molested by their pastors? Did he turn a cold eye to what was going on in his own house? Why did he let it happen?

I won't debate with you that there is a god. I'm of the opinion YOUR god is only one of many (and not exactly one of my favorites, no offense meant) but if the bible is correct-if he's perfect, then he can't screw up right?

Then who dropped the ball so badly on THIS case? Or are you guys gonna tell me the pastors were tools of the devil and your god couldn't intervene before these kids were hurt within his own consecrated temple?

Please, serious answers. For once, I'm attempting to not be anti-christian. I'd like the same respect in turn.

George Bush goes to a primary school to talk to the kids to get a little PR. After his talk he offers question time. One little boy puts up his hand and George asks him his name.

"Stanley," responds the little boy.

"And what is your question, Stanley?"

"I have 4 questions:

First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the support of the UN?
Second, why are you President when Al Gore got more votes?
Third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden?"
Fourth, why are we so worried about gay-marriage when 1/2 of all Americans don't have health insurance?

Just then, the bell rings for recess. George Bush informs the kiddies that they will continue after recess.

When they resume George says, "OK, where were we? Oh, that's right, question time. Who has a question?"

Another little boy puts up his hand. George points him out and asks him his name.

"Steve," he responds.

"And what is your question, Steve?"

"Actually, I have 6 questions.
First, why did the USA invade Iraq without the support of the UN?
Second, why are you President when Al Gore got more votes?
Third, whatever happened to Osama Bin Laden?
Fourth, why are we so worried about gay marriage when 1/2 of all
Americans don't have health insurance?
Fifth, why did the recess bell go off 20 minutes early?
And sixth, what the hell happened to Stanley?"

Over here, we have people who love to lean their whoel body on the pole even when its crowded, so others have difficulty having a pole to grab on to.

And we also have people who do not give up their seats to preganant ladies or elderly folks, especially those in shirt and pants and executive wear.

And people who do not move to the centre of the train, but like to stand at the door.

Designed in Palm Springs Fl, the veri-chip is feared by many to be the mark of the Beast in Revelation. There are multiple companies creating these subdermal implants and have been putting them into pets etc for years. Now we have the smartcard and items commonly bought implanted with tracking chips. There is a satellite called Galileo set to be fully operational by 2010 able to track the planet wherever a chip can be found. The church has been very quiet about this and I wonder why? People have already been chipped as volunteers and there's millions of these things being produced....they will be used and we are the targets. There are some sites online declaring the intention to fight implants. It's coming and no one will be able to buy or sell without one.
I have no doubt that this is the mark of the beast......
Personally I do not believe in the whole "rapture" of the church theory, So minus that event happening people better wake up. What do you think?

I usually don't ask people to pray about stuff in my life, and i know that not everyone on here is a christian so if your not then please don't take any offense from my question..just ignore it.

But my grandpa has been diagnosed with lung cancer (this is my mom's dad). My mom is taking it really hard. He is also not saved. Please pray for him and my grandma, and my whole family. Also since my mom is out of town with my grandpa my dad and i have alot more chores that need to be taken care of, so we are getting pretty stressed out. We really need strength in dealing with this. Thank you for your prayers, you have no idea how much it means to me.

I'm reading Chaim Potok's "In the Beginning", and I came across the part where David Lurie (protagonist, a yeshiva student) is grilling his teacher on Noah's post-rainbow piss-up: Noah gets drunk and passes out in his tent, buck naked. This is something we Catholics kids were never taught in school, but I've run across it earlier in one of William Faulkner's short stories. It is one of the Bible references used to justify slavery: Ham saw his dad, Noah, naked and told his brothers. The others stayed out of it; only Ham dared enter the tent and covered up Noah. Noah woke up and cursed Ham's son, Canaan, that he and his descendants will forever be servants to all the others and their descendants. Slaves are therefore "Son's of Ham", and decreed by God.

Hello,

A guy that I am dating was raised as a Christian but decides to convert himself as a Messainic Jew? I know that Jews do not believe in Christ. What are really the practices of Messainic Jews? Are they similar to the Jewish faith or Christianity? Would they be a conflict if you are dating someone who is in a different religion as you?

I asked this question last week and only non-religious people, for the most part, responded in spite of what I said. I would like a few more answers.

Adam and Eve were banned from Eden, and subject to pain, suffering, disease, old age, and eventually death, because of the curse of God as described in Genesis chapter 3. But if Adam's (and Eve's) sin applies only to them, then why are WE subject to Adam's curse? Why can't we just walk back into Eden and live forever, pain free and disease free, if we are not sinful too?

Obviously I am curious what is the Muslim, Mormon, and/or the Jewish explanation of why God allows suffering, pain and death.
