Nope. I would die for the Lord. As scary as it may be, I would. I have faith in the Rapture though. I know it's going to come.

There is definetly no pre-trib rapture. But there is a rapture and it happens before God's Wrath right after the great tribulation. So you must not take the mark of the beast if you want to be saved.
Look at Revelation 20:4-6.
4 Then I saw thrones, and seated on them were those to whom the authority to judge was committed. Also I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus and for the word of God, and those who had not worshiped the beast or its image and had not received its mark on their foreheads or their hands. They came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. 5 The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection.
If the first resurrection occurs after the Great Tribulation, how could there be a previous resurrection? And yes the rapture is the resurrection.
Also check out this verse
29 But immediately after the tribulation of those days THE SUN WILL BE DARKENED, AND THE MOON WILL NOT GIVE ITS LIGHT, AND THE STARS WILL FALL from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. 30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the SON OF MAN COMING ON THE CLOUDS OF THE SKY with power and great glory. 31 And He will send forth His angels with A GREAT TRUMPET and THEY WILL GATHER TOGETHER His elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other. [Matt. 24:29-31]
So again we see that it appears the rapture happens at the end of the great tribulation. Another interesting point is if all of the Christians would disappear off the face of the Earth, then how stupid could the human race be to deny what is going on.
Finally
"In a moment, 1 in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump; for the trumpet 5 shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed." (1 Cor. 15:52 KJV)
The last trump is at the end of the tribulation
People just want to believe what is covenient for them, not what is true.
Americans believe somehow they're superior to the early church who were martyered for their faith. Sorry but the Great Tribulation is not the Wrath of God, but the Wrath of Satan and we will be here. Its sad that the majority of people answering this question don't know anything about the book of revelation.

There's no rapture.
We are in tribulation.
You also have chips everywhere
Satellite surveillance, GRPS
We will soon be eating the flesh of clones sheep
we have artificial insemination
and botox
I can't believe 21ST century people caught up in
this Rapture thing
It probably happened when the twin towers exploded and all those good people were summoned to heaven.
Because after that, all hell's broken loose on earth

The "rapture" is a human idea that has no biblical basis. It is a feel good idea for certain people.
Yes the Bible says that "one will be taken and the other left", and we speculate that that means "taken to heaven". This comes from Matthew 24, and if you look at the context, you will see that it does refer to the time just before Jesus comes. He states a parallel when he mentions the time before the flood. It says that He "took them all away." Did God take all of the unbelievers to heaven? No. Did he take Noah to heaven? No. The passage suggests that the wicked were "taken away" in death, and their names were taken out of the book of life.
There is another similar passage in Luke 17 (most likely the same event) but I believe that this is also speaking of being taken in death due to the refference to Lot's wife.
It is foolish to make a doctrine based on so few passages of scripture.

Let us think on this one moment
(1) the bible said there would be a great tribulation - which you say we are in at this time.
(2) the bible said not to receive the mark - which is most likely in this chip.
(3) the bible said that immediately after tribulation those that received this mark " chip " would be cast into lake of fire for eternity!
(4) Now 2/3 of the things have come to pass and everyone knows this: Chip=eternal damnation or No Chip = death and eternal Bless in the new heaven. Tough choice I would go with option No Chip!

No, I would not. Before that can happen, how ever, you have missed one important point, the Holy Spirit would have to be removed from this world. The Holy Spirit isn't leaving without the church going with it. Your premise is a bit flawed. What you are asking about is going to happen to many of those left on the earth after the rapture has taken place.

The "catching away" of believers is in the Bible, but I don't think the microchip is. Still the question is a good one. We are forced to do some things because they are the law--like paying huge income taxes. If someone told me to get a chip planted in me, I would just refuse.

If I found out that I was in the tribulation period-then I would have absolutely no doubt that the end would be in less than 7 years. Only an absolute fool would take the chip-----knowing then full well what it meant.

I'd have my head decapitated before I ever got the chip.
In the pretribulation rapture scenario, after we will rise to meet the Lord in the air, we will go to heaven and abide there seven years. At the end of the seven years, Christ comes down to earth, defeats the Antichrist, and cleanses the temple. In a posttribulation rapture, we would rise in the air meet the Lord, then do a 180 degree turn and come back down to earth. It states in Revelation 1:7 that Christ will appear out of the clouds and come down to earth. It says in Zechariah 14:4 His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives. If He's already headed our way, why would we need to be caught up to meet Him?

ha ha, I love it when people apply literal meaning to the symbolism of the book of Revelations.
do you also really take literally the symbolic verses here?
Revelation 12:15 And the serpent disgorged water like a river from its mouth after the woman, to cause her to be drowned by the river. 16 But the earth came to the woman’s help, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the river that the dragon disgorged from its mouth. 17 And the dragon grew wrathful at the woman, and went off to wage war with the remaining ones of her seed, who observe the commandments of God and have the work of bearing witness to Jesus.
I mean, c'mon people, can we wake up? This illustrates perfectly what Jesus meant when he told his disciples at Matthew 13:13 This is why I speak to them by the use of illustrations, because, looking, they look in vain, and hearing, they hear in vain, neither do they get the sense of it.
Please look back to the beginning of the book called Revelation, you know, where it says (Rev, 1:1) "A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented [it] in signs through him to his slave John" ?
Sorry, I just get tired of this sometimes.
Look, the "mark of the beast" is not a tattoo, it is not a microchip, it is, the conduct which reveals the person as having "received" the mark. It is the person's beliefs/actions/attitude, which are the mark.
