is it true theyd get punished worse there simply alone because its before marriage?

no I dont plan on doing that but would it be worse there than it would in lets say california...?

i live in utah, and as far as i know, there is no punishment whatsoever

Having sex in a public place is usually frowned on by most societies and you would probably be charged with public indecency or indecent exposure. The marital status or sex of the people involved should not make any difference to the charge.
In some countries, however, particularly strict Moslem countries, such activity could be punishable by death. Is Utah similar to Moslem countries for some reason?

A LOT of embarassment, for the parties involved AND their parents and friends.
Not a smart idea. Sex should be cherished between two CONSENTING married adults in the privacy of their own property.

Nothing more would happen than would happen in any other state. You would be arrested for being naked in public besides that even if it's before marriage nobody really cares.
