I'm 18; am I allowed to go into a bar if my dad goes with me?

Question

I wanna go to Gators Bar in Delaware because Joe Gannascoli from The Sopranos is going to be there, and my dad told me he would go with me, so my question is: will they let me go in? is anybody from delaware in here that is going too?

Heck, my father used to take my brothers and I to bars when I was little for what we used to call "bubbly noses." (The carbonation in the ginger ale would rise up out of the glass and tickle our noses.) Of course, you can go into a bar at any age if your dad goes with you; you just can't drink alcohol.

Depends on the bar. Some bars ID people at the door, and won't let you in if your under 21. Some don't care, and may just ID you if you try and buy a drink.

I would think not, especially after certain hours. If you get there early (if they also serve food), like 7-8ish you'll have a better chance of getting in.

Generally speaking the rule for minors is that you can be in there (as long as you don't try to order drinks) until about 9 pm without an adult. If you have an adult with you, it's fine as long as you don't drink.

In most of the civilised world, the drinking age and the age of majority is 18. You can vote, you can drink. I am sure the USA will catch up one of these days.

Depends on how strict the bouncer is (if they even have one) but don't expect to be served alcohol.

You could go in but you cannot drink any alcoholic beverages. They will check your ID.
