Lots of preachers, Christian teachers, television personalities, etc. are very popular, but not all are genuine, and/or orthodox.

It is as you have written it, those who do not teach, preach or speak according to the word of God. Another class also fits into this category, hipocrites. "To the law and to the testimony, if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."

No Protestant preachers are "orthodox". Protestantism in all its conflicting, mutually contradictory forms is filled with false teachings and false teachers (though many of them are sincere, and don't realize that what they are teaching is false). But the facts are plain. The teachings of each Protestant denomination conflict with the teachings of many others. Truth cannot conflict with truth. Do the math. How unlike the stated will of God, "that they all may be ONE"!

Jim Jones and David Koresh are the obvious candidates. I believe that the founders of Mormonism and Jehovah's witnesses also fit into that category. And while we're at it, anyone who preaches a prosperity doctrine, like Joel Osteen, also belongs in the category of false teacher.

Christian teachers?

You are correct. There are some true Christians in the protestant denominations, just as there are some in Catholicism, Orthadox churches, Mormonism, etc.

You cannot truly tell who is a heretic(unless you're Catholic, then it's all non-Catholics) without personally knowing them when the lights are turned off and there is no one to give them praise.

Jesus warned us of many antichrists (false teachers) and one Antichrist.

There are many names that could be presented here, the biggest one I can think of is the Pope.
