I was 'approached' by Shiva Ardhanarishvara and Kali, and also Ganesha, after having a 'kundalini' experience. There was NO mistake about this; it was truly remarkable! I have talked to others who have had a similar experience as well; it seems to be some kind of "trend". I would like to hear MORE tales of the experience of others!

The Simpsons also turn up late at church, where Homer's father has a seizure and warns of trouble to come.

When asked to explain this behavior, Homer flicks through a Bible, and mutters: "This book doesn't have any answers."

Would Jesus be a little better qualified than mortal men to write the bible? He Didn't do anything until he was like 30 anyways, instead of being a carpenter why didn't he spend the time to say what God really meant and not the cryptic, contradictory BS that we have today?

As a straight person I'm frankly puzzled by those who think people can choose to be gay, so it would be interesting to hear from a straight person who has actually turned themself gay and thus proven that hypothesis. How did you change from being turned on by the opposite sex to being repulsed by the idea of sex with them? Conversely, how did you change from being repulsed by the idea of sexual activity with your own sex, to being turned on by it? Personally, I just don't see how it can be done, but with so many people saying they could choose to be gay, they must know how.

Earlier this week, somebody on R&S asked whether or not it was proper for a Christian to "listen to, or sing" AC/DC's "Highway to Hell"...

I was just driving home from church and a meeting with our parish organist...and "Highway to Hell" came on the radio.

Does that song freakin' ROCK, or what?

Am I wrong??

We have been at war so to speak with new and ever evolving speicies of organisms. Do you believe that it is possible to decent life in America, without having to mingle or make friends with any of the white or black Americans?

For instance a friend of mine says that since he arrived in the US 7 years back, he has never been able (or had the need) to mingle with any of the native white or black Americans. I mean, the company he works for (software firm) is full of Asians with a couple of whites at the top level whom he doesn't get to meet much at all. The grocery store he goes to is an Indian supermarket with only Indians there, he bought a car from a car dealer who is also an Indian. And last, all his neighbors are Indans with whom he mingles and goes for parties.

Well, I know it's kind of weird why one would not like to mingle with the locals over here, but hey - as long as you are able to lead a decent life, it doesn't really matter right?

For all religions, don't tell me you know your god exists and nothing can convince you otherwise. Thank you for your devotion, but play along. No higher power exists. Every part of your faith you've lived on has no grounds. What is your reaction?

For those of you who are atheist/agnostic, I know the majority of you will probably tell me you already knew that, so let's assume you just told me. What's the rest of your reaction? What do you have to say to people of faith (all religions)? Are you going to celebrate now that people finally "know the truth?" What's up with you on this?

Which says: Jesus replied, "The truth is, no one can enter the Kingdom of God without being born of water and the Spirit."
Do you believe that Jesus is saying that Baptism is also a neccesary part of Salvation (water). I have often been told that baptism is just an outward expression of an inward truth, but this scripture really makes me wonder. Afterall, it is not Paul saying this but Jesus himself. Any help and additional scriptures is much appreciated!
