Radical Islam cuz it is a far cry from how the Q'uran should be aticipated its a seperatist movement and is responsible for 911 , it follows the writings of Sayyid Qutb who was appalled by anything American even though he lived there for many years he was an Egyptian who wrote his take on Islam while in Jail serving hard time for trying to assasinated president Nasser of Egypt.
and is now considered a breakaway faction from all thats good about Islam.
Coming from London I lived very near the Arab quarter and had many Arab friends including Iraqis and I can assure you they would give you their last loaf of bread even if they were starving themselves.

No one religion is intrinsically evil and there is no objective response which can be given. Therefore opinion must be based on the teachers and followers of various religions. I believe religion in essence to be a fantastical con and means of social control, yet the faith and the hope it provides (unless in the case of unrealistic faith healing) is, generally, harmless benevolence. My opinion of a bad religion is one which commands vast amounts of capital from its believers to fund the luxurious life styles of the heartless puppeteers (the ministers, the supposed intelligentsia). I find this to be the case of all major religions, including Christianity, in particular Catholicism, with which I was brought up. Where in the bible does it call for the grand extravagances of the church especially the symbol of oppression and repression - the vatican. Ramblings aside scientology has caught my eye as an ever growing "religion", based on the works of a science fiction writer, known to have said that the best way to make money is to start a religion. This is bad in that it has corrupted the grandchildren of the enlightenment, the supposed intelligent, surely its followers must realise its absurdity, it is a modern catholicism, blackmailing as Priests had once done, raising vast capital, for what? Those who know it to be false. Religion would be acceptable, even in its falsity, if it were uncorrupt and less easily manipulated. The only right religion is that of secularism - The grand Church of atheism, all embracing and based on reason, intelligence, yet I feel certain that to would be abused.

Being as this is an opinion poll more than anything else, my opinion is that any and all religions, cults, philosophies that insist on taking the lives of those who for whatever reason choose not to follow said belief system are all equally the "worst religion" . There are several that qualify sadly enough they are they seem to have the largest following in the present day.

The worst religions are the ones who kill people for the cause of spreading their religion.
The best religion is Charity (helping the widows & orphans & those in need) & to keep self spotless from sinful living.

The ones having the most destructive, hateful, and/or murderous sects and/or cults.
That probably would put Islam in first place for outright mindless viciousness within its ranks. While MOST Muslims are very decent and peaceful people, the religion contains sects and cults that do HORRIFIC things. Such as the car bombings, etc. ... and the subhuman treatment of women in many, many ways.
Christianity probably is second, due to its infestation by the RRR Cult. Ironically, the "Religious" Radical Right isn't even Christian, for the most part. It is comprised mostly of hateful and/or ignorant PSEUDO-Christians who **claim** to be Christians (in their desperation to cloak themselves in a mantle of respectability, while lyingly claiming that there's anything Christian at all about the loathsome agendas it pursues against human rights and individual liberties.) A smaller number of them are low-IQ Christians who've been CONNED by the crafty leadership of the RRR into thinking that those agendas have any value. The high-profile RRR, while comprising only 6% of America's *professing* Christians (which is 5% of all Americans) is the USA's internal worst enemy. Fortunately, it barely exists in other parts of the world.
The RRR Cult isn't murderous (usually), but its agendas seek to utterly destroy vital personal liberties for tens of millions of people. For NO good reason! And those mostly-mindless zealots pursue their antisocial agendas 24/7.

Wow, I'm surprised it took 4 posts to get "atheism" as an answer. I would've put the over/under at 1½ or something.
