This is as viable an idea as any on the origin of life on this planet.

watch "Quatermass and the pit" for an interesting take on this theory

First of all I would like to ask "have you suffered with back ache" and your answer will probably be yes. Everyone in the world will have back problems at sometime or another. This therefore suggests that humans are not designed for earths gravity and I believe we came from a planet where the gravity is much lower. Another indicator is an experiment where people were put into a place where there was no daylight and no clocks and their daily cycle was recorded at around 27 hours and not 24. We are not of this world.

Oh yes..A few million years ago all the humans and animals were taken off their own respective planets and put on this planet as a social experiment by a intellectually superior alien life form unfortunately things did not go to plan as a mega intergalactic war broke out which ended with a huge bang and we have been here ever since, occasionally the descendants of these aliens come back and visit us but have orders not to interfere or integrate as we are considered intellectually inferior and aggressive

I've often wondered if we were a science experiment, and all of the alien visits were scientists collecting data...

Lightspeed or better can not be reached by our technology, and we havent the tools to determine if a wormhole has been opened in our area. We cant even monitor enough of the sky in a day to have more than a remote chance of catching it.

You must be speaking of the "hypothesis" that life may have been planted by an advanced culture. There is absoulutely no proof of this and is better off left to the world of science fiction. It is highly improbable since the speed of light, or faster, cannot be reached. Of course, travelling through a wormhole would be the way to go, but there has been no indication of that activity in this part of the galaxy.

Humankind may simply be a virus floating on a speck of dust, too small to be seen.

I think we are in one way in that we did not evolve here, but were created and put here for us to use the earth as a training ground for our development.

That seems to be the basis for the popular star trek kind of religion being forced down our throats everywhere we go.
