The Canadian Parliament concerning the global-warming crisis couldn’t believe what they had heard.

“We’re coming to an end time beyond anything that anybody has ever imagined,” Rod said with a trembling urgency. Scientists right now, they’re not even studying the real causes. The Kyoto treaty and CO2 have nothing to do with anything.”

Noory intoned at the beginning of the program, “is be prepared, not scared.” disaster scenarios including hurricanes, earthquakes and volcanic eruptions caused by solar storms, cracks forming in the earth’s magnetic field and mass extinctions brought on by nuclear winter. The only hopeful note of the night was struck when an unnamed caller asked Joseph what he thought about recent Virgin Mary apparitions in Bosnia.
Coast to Coast” has been devoting more and more programming to prophecies of doom and the signs and wonders that are thought to be harbingers of the coming end time

You see it on YA all the time. People degrading others because of their religious beliefs.

The most prominant feud (on YA) is between the atheists and the christians. my question is, why do people CARE about other's religious beliefs? Why must we always try to change people into our own personal religious ideal? After all, isn't the whole POINT of religion that each person interprets it in his or her individual way?

MaxMarie SFO(Topcontributer?) has to say:-
" Yup. Ganesha dropped in on me one day. I didn't find it remarkable at all. Nor did I find the urge to convert.
I was doing yoga at the time.

How can you do "Yoga" without sri.Ganesa?--(it is not Ganesha!)-IMPOSSIBLE- I wonder you were doing something without understanding what you were doing.---Yaa -Uganaa--Eesa---sa --YOGA(nesa)
does it appear to be Latin to you ?--then how did you read the original Yoga Texts?--and you were doing YOGA!!!!!!!!!!!! what a wonderful thing?

MMSFO:-"Up until that point I never understood why so many Christian teachers say Christians should not do yoga."

They are absolutely right.--YOGA you can not start without praying sri.Ganesa-if you wish you read Padhanjali's Yoga Sutram original text in Sanskrit or you listen to the learned Christian Preists.

Mat 13:39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels.
Mat 13:40 As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world.
Mat 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
Mat 13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 13:43 Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

i've allways wanted to be famous and it feels awkard seeing people in movies and seeing they actually lived their dreams. It feels like you don't exist and no one really knows who you actually are. I know i'm not as pretty as i want to be but, it's like a big slap in the face, no one wants you no one notices you exist. Have you ever felt like this? have you ever wondered what it would be like, to have all those fans? All those people that actually know you exist? That would be the life.

I'm curious about responses to this prayer someone sent me. I'm not really familiar with Buddhism, but I've never seen a prayer quite like this one.
My guess is, it will rankle quite a few people.

To those who withhold refuge,
I cradle you in safety at the core of my Being.
To those that cause a child to cry out,
I grant you the freedom to express your own choked agony.
To those that inflict terror,
I remind you that you shine with the purity of a thousand suns.
To those who would confine, suppress, or deny,
I offer the limitless expanse of the sky.
To those who need to cut, slash, or burn,
I remind you of the invincibility of Spring.
To those who cling and grasp,
I promise more abundance than you could ever hold onto.
To those who vent their rage on small children,
I return to you your deepest innocence.
To those who must frighten into submission,
I hold you in the bosom of your original mother.
To those who cause agony to others,
I give the gift of free flowing tears.
To those that deny another's right to be,
I remind you that the angels sang in celebration of you on the day of your
birth.
To those who see only division and separateness,
I remind you that a part is born only by bisecting a whole.
For those who have forgotten the tender mercy of a mother's embrace,
I send a gentle breeze to caress your brow.
To those who still feel somehow incomplete,
I offer the perfect sanctity of this very moment.

I have heard it all of my life, and gosh knows the phrase is popular here at R&S, that the Holy Bible is the word of God. Not cherrypicked parts, not only the scattering of loving words, but all of it. If this is so, what should an American bloke make of the guy who sells a daughter into slavery, the guy who is hellbent to burn his son alive, the guy who walks on water, the slaughter, genocide, "dashing" babies against a handy wall, rape, slavery, a talking snake, a talking bush, a talking jackass, the guy who survived three days in the belly of a big old fish, incest, the guy who chopped off 400 foreskins, the guy who rose from the dead and flew up to "Heaven," multiple wives, guys living hundreds of years, and so on and on? It's asking an awful lot of a human critter in the age of space travel, the Internet, wonders in medical science, incredible technologies emerging very day. All of that 21st-century stuff, and a doggoned talking snake? Wow!

A lady my family and I hardly knew was at my dad's funeral.

While I was eating she came up to me didn't even say "sorry or anything." She continued on and on at least an hour about her problems and life in general. I was already depressed about my dad and other things. Then a year later after my dad's death she starts following me at my church, and then the store I go to grocery store shopping at and the same laundromat too, and asking me strange questions, about me and my family! She was stalking me, because she lives 20 minutes away and there are plenty of stores and 2 churches where she lives.

Is she crazy or what, and what do you make of this?

She also asked me how much $$ did we get from my Dad, and does my family have to work or anything.........

No she is not a relative, or mistress or anything like that.
What is her interest?
