and I mean on this WEBSITE but also in REAL LIFE

Well, it seems no one has a monopoly on having @$$holes in their midst, because they abound on both sides... especially on this website, it seems.

In person, though? I have to tip my hat ever so slightly to the atheists for being nicer. Don't get me wrong, I've met plenty of very nice people on both sides of the coin, but I haven't ever had an atheist show up at my door with the express mission of converting me to their way of seeing things, and there are times, quite frequently, when Christians are less than polite about their efforts.

Just yesterday, in the middle of enjoying a quiet Fourth of July, some showed up to let me know there was a "special event" down in San Francisco, and they pressed me to know whether or not I'd be going. Wanted to show up, pick me up, make sure I attended the rally, etc, etc, etc, and would not take no for an answer.

I finally had to slam the door in their faces because refusing politely and thanking them wasn't working.

That's not an isolated incident, either. There's been more than one occasion where one has shoved his foot in the door to keep me from closing it so they could keep trying to bully me into doing things their way.

Atheists have never treated me that way.

Atheists have also never insisted that I'm an abomination, spent hours upon hours upon days upon weeks upon years making sure I know I'm going to Hell, spent time lobbying to restrict my rights because they don't happen to like my taste in men, all while spouting completely belittling crap like "hate the sin, love the sinner" as if somehow completely interfering in my life and making sure it's as miserable as possible is really in my best interests... well, I could go on, but long story short, I've met a lot of wonderful people on both sides, but in real life, the jerks seem to be much more active on the Christian side, at least when it comes to trying to be a jerk to me.

So, from my experience, Atheists are actually nicer as a whole.

Its a great test you ran yet i do no longer think of this truly got here approximately and that i do no longer think of you're truly an Atheist. i think of you have exchange into so good at trolling which you will have ignored what you somewhat think of. NO i do no longer think of Christians are nicer than every person. maximum Christians i comprehend are rude and not very honest with themselves or every person else. There are some severe-high quality Christians and that i comprehend some yet once you somewhat desire a shoulder to lean on and an ear to talk to, as a bartender or an medical, smart atheist.

I've found atheists to be much nicer here than christians. I'd have to say that also goes for real life as well.
This has been my personal experience.

It's never nice to be deluded and to try to force your religious delusions on other people even if you do so with a pious smile accompanied by the mandatory threats of burning for eternity ...so atheists are intrinsically way nicer than Christians.

Atheists don't make vile threats, they simply ask Christians to provide some evidence for their extraordinary claims but the evidence never seems to be forthcoming.

Honestly? I think it's about even. There are some really rude atheists on here, but there are just as many rude "Christians."

I try not to focus on anyone else so much. All that matters to me is if I'M nice. And I do make an effort to be.

I'm an atheist, and I would have to say Christians. Most Christians tend to listen to what other people say, be kind, helpful and serving. Just a precious few are very hateful and dominating. Unfortunately, those tend to be ministers and bishops, and the other Christians, out of the kindness of their hearts, tend to listen and accept, or look the other way.

Atheists draw their own lines, make their own decisions. Hopefully they are compassionate, but only if they find compassion in their own hearts. Most Christians are compassionate: they are drilled to be compassionate by very non-compassionate people.

idk religious beliefs dont come out in real life as much as in here so i cant answer that one. they can both be equally rude and obnoxious. it all depends on how conservative you are on them. for the masses, i'd have to say christians are nicer but they get annoying real fast whenever they put "god bless" or something like that on a question by an atheist. but i do prefer atheist's answers to christian ones because atheists will straight out say what they want with out all the god-speak.

Overly general since catholics and fundamentalists are as different as night and day. Catholics I like; I even used to be one. Not fundies. Atheists? Depends on the individual. The gung-ho types remind me too much of fundies.
